You don't respond. You either were phasing out or did it on purpose. Either way, you're marked as absent.
Ms. Johnson sends a student to bring the sheet up to the front to mark who is and isn't absent. She then stands in front of the classroom.
"My name is Ms. Johnson. You will refer to me as Miss, Miss Johnson, or teacher. I am not your friend, I am your instructor. If you disobey me, expect for that relationship to change, and for you to end up as lunch." To accentuate this, she pats her stomach.
A couple students snicker, obviously not believing the woman, which grants them a glare, to which they quickly shut up.
