Birdbrained's Renders UPDATED 4/8 (Bird Pred/Female Prey)

Hello! I'll be posting my renders here. Let me know what you think!

Beware! You may think that shrinking yourself down is a recipe for a carefree vacation, but unwary shrinkees may find themselves prey to the local wildlife. The woman in this photo thought that it couldn't happen to her, and paid the price. Don't let yourself make the same mistake! Be cautious and alert!

Couple more:

Another careless shrunken woman finds herself soon to be a hungry heron's meal. Remember that these birds and countless other predators have evolved to be efficient hunters of prey just like you!

This shrunken woman could be considered lucky; having been stunned by her predator, she does not face the prospect of being swallowed and digested while conscious. If you want to avoid such a gruesome fate, then make sure you take all due precautions when shrinking yourself!

Ooh, nice pics, I love them! There's something about the sight of shrunken women being held captive in the mouth of a hungry predator that I find alluring. BTW, I need to say that I also LOVE the little excerpts of text that you added to each of the pictures. They really do help add a little extra something to set up a story involving the picture and spice it up a bit. If you have any more of these, please do share them!

Those look amazing! Now we need some follow-up shots of the women making bulges in the birds throats as they swallow them. Keep up the good work!

Thanks all! A couple more for ya:

The woman pictured here was a powerful executive in a Fortune 500 company, which no doubt gave her a sense of confidence and invulnerability. But predators do not care about your wealth or status! Once you're shrunken down, you're nothing more than a piece of meat, no better than a fish or a frog!
heron4a.png
We can only imagine the fear this shrunken woman in this photo must have felt as she slid down the heron's gullet. Don't let yourself suffer the same fate.

I especially love that last one! I can practically see how she has been tilted down inside his mouth, beginning that perilous slide down his throat and into his digestive system. Nice placement of the legs, hinting at her frantic and useless kicks while he hungrily gulps her down.
Thanks for posting!

Something for Halloween:

The unfortunate woman in this photo shrunk herself down to be part of a shoulder angel/shoulder devil costume. She forgot that, even in an urban environment, shrinking herself puts her low on the food chain. Perhaps she should have listened to her own better angels.

This is some really nice work, I really like the idea of the birds eating. It seems like they are just eating the women like any other prey, without much thought as they are just going to become nutrients to the birds.

It makes it seem that more perilous and desperate from the point of the prey. I too really like the fifth picture as we almost can see down the tight throat of the bird and imagine the struggling prey just before it gets swallowed and the fate sealed by the hard cold beak.

Quoth the raven: "I'm gonna eat you for lunch!"

Thanks for the extra pic for Halloween. It was a nice treat!

Yes! That's what I like about these scenarios as well; to these birds, a tiny woman is just another meal.

Glad you liked it, and thanks for all the kind comments so far.

A new one for you guys:

The carelessness of this shrunken woman has gotten her into a painful game of tug-of-war between two bitterns. As they say: whoever wins, she loses.

Thanks again for another pic. I like seeing art where the prey is fought over by two predators, with the winner (and more worthy pred) winning the rights to make a meal out of the hapless prey, who is either forced to watch or in this case, is subject to a painful game where the two actively fight over her. Tasty!

The shrunken woman pictured here was a famous ornithologist, who assumed she was too knowledgeable about birds to be caught by one. Remember, if she can end up as a heron's meal, then you can, too!

While we do try to rescue shrinkees in distress, we're not likely to be able to see you're in danger until it's too late, and even in those rare situations where we do spot the danger we may still be unable to help you. This photo, for example, shows a heron that sensed our rescue team and flew off, with its helpless prey clutched in its beak. No doubt it found someplace more peaceful to finish devouring her.

Cool! I like the idea of prey being snatched away, knowing that their fate is sealed and unable to do anything about it.
I think I give the edge toward the other image with the ornithologist for 2 reasons:
1) It's a great shot with the bird's mouth wide open and throat bulging as he is in the middle of gulping this woman down
2) I love the accompanying text suggesting that she was a bird specialist, yet still fell prey to them. Quite conveniently, her last bit of research into birds shall involve a first person examination of a bird's digestive system

One of our photographers (sadly too far away to help) was able to capture this incredible sequence of a shrunken woman being hunted and devoured. Perhaps she would be comforted to know that her fate can now serve as a lesson to others.

Very, very nice comic. Thanks a lot for this time doing an actual comic, as it lends so much more to the narrative than just singe pics. She looks so blissfully unaware (and uncaring) as she bathes in that first pic, not suspecting that she has an unnoticed admirer. And then, she appears so utterly horrified as she realizes that her observer has decided to invite her to (be) his dinner. I like how she puts up a token resistance as she grabs onto his lower beak, somehow hoping that she might prevent fate even though she must realize deep down that it is futile and that she is going down. Nice pic of her legs sticking out of his mouth, followed by the pic of him gulping her down and treating her like the meaty meal that she is.

In short, this comic is great and I'd love to see more of this if you have them.

Thanks!

Thanks folks! I don't know how often I'll be able to get out comics that long--obviously they take more time than single images--but I definitely intend to to more.

In the meantime, here's a short sequence:

The woman pictured here was recorded as saying, before she shrunk down, that she didn't have to worry about predators because she was "so much smarter than these dumb animals." But in the end, who ended up being the dumb one?

And another comic:

heronshunt.jpg
Some people choose to shrink down fully knowing and embracing the dangers. The woman pictured here, for instance, shrank so that she could experience the thrill of hunting animals much larger than herself, that would quickly devour her if she made one wrong move.

Even for people such as her, however, doom may come suddenly and unexpectedly.

Cool comic! It's funny how she shrinks down her gun, but no clothes. Perhaps clothes are restricted? Or maybe it is out of a sense of fair play so that if she does get eaten, her clothes won't give the pred indigestion?

Anyway, funny how she felt invincible after having killed this unsuspecting heron, only to get snatched up unawares and lose her rifle. As she watched her weapon fumble from her grasp, it must have dawned on her exactly how dependent she truly was on her rifle and how defenseless she was without it. In fact, she appears to have put up not much of a fight without it, as if resigned to the fact that she was just a filling meal at that point. Clearly these birds have developed such a taste for these ladies that not even the threat of a gun will ward off their ravenous maws as they swoop in for the kill!

Thanks again for these sets! I'm hoping at some point to get to see some bird that carries a lady off and feeds her to its baby chicks.
