Question for Twine Users

I'm practicing how to code by making interactive vore games in Twine, specifically Harlowe. Does anyone know a great way to program weight gain over several passages based on movement? In terms of programming ease, is it better to just program NPCs being eaten as passages you link to, or as objects?
