Mixed feelings about this. I can see the logic behind it but I'm a big advocate for role reversal. Despite my earlier comment about disliking a demographic of characters being placed in the Pred role, I also like seeing them defeated by a "weaker," character and being turned into prey. However on the flip side, that's to say once a character has been placed in the prey role. They're forever in to be prey in my eyes. A good example of this is Android 18 from the DBZ verse . She's part of one the most popular canon vore scenes in anime history and this should ALWAYS be prey. I know this likely doesn't make sense to people but hey, we're all picky about our vore kinks in one or another aren't we?

Yup, we are all picky. I know role-reversal is super popular, but I only like it in terms of, like, species. Love me some mouse preds, and once they start eating, they've gotta stay that way or I get disappointed. XD
This turnoff of mine is, as far as I can tell, in the vast minority, to the point that getting people to even understand the specifics of it is difficult sometimes.

I SHOULD mention that this is not "Oh, this character ate another once. They are now untouchable in all future art/stories/whatever." I do things in separate canons, so in some canons, characters are predators and in some they are prey, but I don't like doing both in the same canon. I consider them different characters when there is a different canon.

Thanks for saying that, even though it sounds like your turnoffs show up fairly often in my stories.

I find it fun to explore these things and get others' experiences.

I enjoy onomatopoeia in vore (stomach gurgles etc etc) but I also... hate them? They're very contextual, what sounds are being expressed and how. So the "wrong" kinds of ways of writing out onomatopoeia can take me out of an otherwise enjoyable vore image, haha. Which I'm fully aware is completely subjective! It's baffling.

Here's another one. The best quality vore art seems exclusively for female Preds. As someone who favors M/F vore this is frustrating Example: SFM videos, animations. Etc there are exceptions obviously but usually the most talented artists make F/M vore material or femboy crap. And the vore art that does have Male Preds that fit my standards usually it's yaoi. Lbs I just wanted to get that out. It feels good to vent, but I plan to do more than just talk about it. I wanna extend my creativity beyond just writing so I can put more M/F vore out there.

Being a creator here, I just want to say that the majority that enjoys M/F seem to like more feminine/cute guys. So it's easy to do content for those you know enjoy your pred types more (Therefor more m/m) I'm a fellow M/F enthusiast btw! Fave combination Also, there are more artist making F/ stuff, so therefor there will always be more advanced art on there.

This is why I would always encuarage to commission artists instead. It's already frustrating as it is to try to make everyone happy and it always ends up with people complaining about the content artists and/or writers make/don't make :I Killing the mood as a result.

Human pred\Human prey. For some reason I don't like that. Humans as preds are fine, just so long as they aren't eating another human. And I like human prey almost exclusively. But the two together for some reason it's a pass for me. "Giant" human preds eating "Tiny" human prey is fine, but same-size, two normal people... IDK, it just doesn't do it for me.

Same with cooking. I like cooking\prep sometimes, if it's like, a fox girl or a goblin or something cooking a human. But if it's a human cooking a human and serving to other humans I don't like it.

Same to all that. Samesize human/human vore rarely ever works for me. Human swallowing small animal is fine, G/t is also fine. Guess cause it requires less stretching and deforming... human jaws & throats just aren't meant to work that way. :T

For me it's fanart. Even with characters that I find attractive, or characters that are known to eat other sapients- Even characters that I find attractive in part BECAUSE they're man-eating monsters or whatever, seeing them in vore fanart just seems... wrong.

Fan characters in established settings are usually fine, as long as they look different enough from canon characters, and I *love* SFW fanart of characters that I already like. Even light NSFW is sometimes appealing. But outright porn and/or vore of such characters just puts me right off for reasons I can't explain.

I personally don't like hardcore vore or fatal vore. nothing repels me as much as this. I also don't like men as predators or prey. I love men, but not in this fetish. I prefer when the predator is some kind of monster or animal, and the prey is a girl. but, if the characters are furries, I don't care about their gender. such a funny contradiction.

Here's another one, I've recently been introduced to: Dominant Prey. It just uhhh it doesn't make sense to me. It's so oxymoronic to me. Usually in a vore scenario, the prey is definitely not the one with the upper hand. The thought of a prey ordering a pred to swallow them is just something I can't wrap my head around.
