There's no point trying to fool yourself. Ryuko will be upon you in no time. Not allowing her to get an easy victory, you side step, and jump into the river. The bridge has allowed you to cross most of the river already, diminishing most of the difficulties caused by swimming across. The hatch lies not far away on the left of the bridge, right at the rim of the beach. Ryuko can't really get you while you're in the water, and by the time she crosses the bridge, you'll already be grabbing onto the rope. That's not to say you won't be cutting it as close as you can get. The hatch is elevated above the tide by some cement slabs, yet not enough to cause it to be a difficulty to reach. You crouch down behind the hatch, grabbing firmly upon the rope, before jumping down the hole. You are mortified when you see Ryuko pause and smile, as she watches you go down. You turn around to see what lies below you, but by doing this your wet hands loose grip of the rope, and cause you to fall. You land on the floor of an empty pit. As you go to grab the rope again, it is yanked from above and taken there.
"Do you know what they call this? They call this a prison. And I've never seen a willing prisoner before"
Caring not to pay attention, you notice the door, and rush in hopes of opening it. Just like any other jail cell, it's locked. You can do nothing but wait for those doors to be opened by Ryuko
