Travelling with Asenath - Page 7 - ABORT MISSION! - By AlimentaryArtist - Overview
Your mind racing you have a moment's indecision before you pullover to the shoulder, you liked living, sure your job sucked, and this girl might be cute, but were you really going to risk your life for some cosplay-looking girl with no tits? You just couldn't bring yourself to keep driving.

As you explained this to her she blinked up at you, "I-I guess that makes sense..." she said softly, she didn't seem angry or anything which, in some sense made it even harder. You helped her unbuckle her restraint and it took her a few tries to open the door, but she climbed out sheepishly, taking her bag with her, "...I'm sorry I got you wrapped up in this, it was really nice of you to bring me this far." she said giving a small bow.

You watched her begin to walk down the embankment towards the tree line, however, you should have been watching your rear view mirror because a large black SUV chooses that exact moment to slam into the back of your car.

Screeching metal and shattered glass fills the air as your head flies forwards before it's stopped by your harness, and your trusty LeSabre plows into the guard rail triggering the airbag.

Blearily you look around the totaled cab of the wrecked Buick through a cracked side mirror you see people in combat gear flooding out of the back of the SUV that hit you as well as more people in black coats that stepped out of two other sedans that pulled up around your car. Seeing you in the drivers seat one comes towards you pulling a pistol from beneath his coat.

Oh, shit, not like this! you think desperately trying your door and finding it jammed by the folded metal. He levels the gun at you and you're sure you're about to die when a snapping bolt of blue-white electricity takes him by surprise lifting him off his feet and tossing him out into traffic causing several cars to swerve and screech to a halt.

Besides curses, phones came out as the rubberneckers began filming the crash sight. The attention was seemingly unwanted by the men who had wrecked your car, the ones who had gotten out climbing back in and the man who'd been hit struggled to his feet quickly gesturing with one hand as he made his way back to the sedan. Your car, which you only just realized had been sputtering out garbled warning beeps and scrambled noises from the radio simply died, and the surrounding people seemed to be having the same problem with their phones. The passenger side of your car opened and the girl was motioning for you to follow.

Still out of sorts you crawl over the center console, spilling out onto the pavement and the two of you run for the trees as the violent strangers watched slowly pulling away from the scene. You get a sinking feeling realizing this probably would not be the last time you saw them.
