You lift your wings and give a low screech as you awaken. Your Mother comes over to you, giving a soft, caring touch with her beak before moving back so you could get up. Mother gazes at you, then turns and motions for you to follow, which you do so. Mother leads you over to the ledge, spreading her wings. You spread your wings, preparing to take flight.
Why are you going for a flight? Strangely, you can't recall the last time you flew. But if Mother wants to take you flying, surely she would know you can fly with her? But how would she know? You are pulled from your thoughts when Mother locks eyes with you, your mind embracing hers as you blank. Your mind returns when Mother breaks eye contact with you. You spread your wings out again, and Mother takes off. You take flight behind her, like you had flown your whole life… wait, but- you follow behind Mother as you hunt for food with her.
You are just a young Pterrorglider, happy and content with living with Mother.
