"...take you up on that offer." She nodded. "I could use the quiet. Plus we get to hang out." She added with a smile, making Ben grin as well as he dusted off his paws above an empty box of donuts.
"Alright! Just give me a moment." He called over a nearby wolf and exchanged some words before the canine nodded, Clawhauser getting out of his seat and the wolf taking it. "Jerry's just gonna be my replacement for the desk while we work. Let's go!"
And with that, the two headed off to the evidence room.
As they walked, Judy was met with multiple greetings and declarations of respect and wonder. She accepted them all graciously, internally freaking out from all the new attention.
Ben spotted this and quickened his pace as the two ended up in a more secretive area of the station, the evidence room.
"Alright... So, the evidence we're looking for is related to the Nighthowler case you cracked recently." He explained as he opened the door. "We have a special room for it, so it shouldn't be hard to gather. You can find it on your own, right?" The cheetah asked Judy.
"Of course! Just leave it to me!" She confidently replied as she headed in. "What'll you do?"
"I've got to fill out the reports for the evidence we're taking out. I won't be too long." He assured her as he began writing on a stack of papers.
Judy entered into the evidence room, looking around...
