You decide making oatmeal would be the best choice of action. It's quick, easy to make and can't burn. You take the kettle from under the counter and fill it up with sink water before putting it on stove and setting it on high. You then take the oats out from the shelf and place it down on the counter. When you take a look at the label you notice that it says "Cinnamon Oats". Perfect! You take 3 bowls from out of the cabinet and place them on the counter and fill them with oats. All that is left for you to do is wait...... and you're bored. You decide to read a book to pass the time. You grab a large hard covered book called "Star Vores" and take seat on the couch.
Seven Minutes go by before you hear a loud high pitched noise. Alarmed that the kettle might wake your parents you quickly rush over to the kitchen and take it off the stove before turning it off. You breath a sigh of relief, hoping that the kettle didn't wake your parents. You pour out the water in the kettle into the 3 bowls before placing them on their pots on the table. You head over to the fridge and grab the butter from before putting a spoonful of it in yours. While your eating your breakfast your hear someone come down the stairs. Shit, you say audibly in your mind when you see your father come down the stairs. He then looks at you with a slightly agitated face before it changes into a softer expression.
"Ah, so that is what that noise was. Didn't know you would be making breakfast Carla. Normally I would be upset with you waking me up but this time I'm glad to see it was because of you making breakfast." Your Father then sits down beside you and begins to stir his bowl to make it thicker.
"Oh uh, thanks dad. I uh... didn't mean to wake you up." You say with a nervousness in your tone.
"It's alright honey. If I'm gonna be waken up by you I'd rather it be with breakfast then being woken up to make it. Let's me know I'm succeeding at parenting." Your Father says with a smile. You uphold an enjoyable conversation with your father throughout breakfast and later with your mother when she comes down. Your mother then packs your lunch while you grabs you green backpack and fill it with your school supplies before headin outside to wait for the bus.
The bus reaches your house at 7:20 it is now 7:08. Hurray you don't have to walk to school. Or maybe go to school at all. Wait, where did that though come from. Well there is a whole city to explore but that would get you into serious trouble with your parents. You should probably wait till Saturday and Sunday till you do that or you can do it right now. You don't know, should you wait for the bus and head to school or head out and explore?
