Battle for the Trivorce - Page 6 - Wait Them Out… - By tummyterrors - Overview
“Link, wait!” You grab his arm, and he glances at you with a questioning gaze. You survey the ring of angry plants surrounding you, chomping at you with their barbed beaks. “It’s too risky! Let’s just wait it out… I don’t think they can reach us.” Link shifts restlessly, gripping his sword tightly, but he does as you ask. You both stand still, hoping the hungry plants lose interest.
Nothing happens for another minute or two, the horrific plants just waiting for one of you to stray too close. You’re starting to wonder if you’ll have to charge your way through after all, when one of them suddenly sinks back towards the ground, burrowing once more beneath the dirt. The one next to it soon follows suit, leaving a gap in the perimeter just wide enough for the pair of you to slip through.
“We can make it if we’re careful, you whisper. “I’ll go first, but please stay close, okay Link?” He nods, keeping his watchful eyes on the monstrous, eyeless bulbs, their disgusting, meaty tongues lapping in your direction. You begin to inch forward, making your way slowly but surely towards the gap. The plants nearest to you crane lustfully in your direction, stretching as far as they can. You flinch as a droplet of acidic spittle hits your cheek, but you dare not stray from the course. Just a little further and you’ll be in the clear. You turn to check on Link, making sure he’s still with you. He’s still there, but… he’s not alone.
One of the plants has slithered up out of the ground once more, right behind Link. It’s horrid maw is already open wide over his head as it sneakily prepares to chow down on its unsuspecting meal. Your eyes go wide with horror and you suck in a terrified breath. “Link!!” you gasp in a shrill voice. He looks at you, startled, then follows your gaze. His own eyes widen in dismay and he spins around, already swinging his sword… but it’s too late. The hungry plant bites down around his chest, pinning his arms to his side. It swallows immediately, and Link slips down his throat up to his waist, his cute little bottom and legs hanging from the predator’s lips, squirming helplessly.
“No, no!” you cry, taking a step forward and reaching for him. You hear something rustling beneath you suddenly, and before you have a chance to do anything whatsoever, the other plant bursts out of the ground between your legs and chomps you up, folding you over in its mouth. Your head, shoulders, and legs protrude from his greedy maw, just a couple of feet from Link’s wiggling bootie. Barbs dig into your thighs, rump, and back, preventing any hope of escape. Between them and the caustic saliva seeping into your flesh, you’re already in a great deal of pain.
“Nnnngghh, o-ow, ow!” you whine, squirming feebly. “Oh g-goddess, please no,” you beg frantically, grimacing as you try to tug yourself free. The evil plant’s disgusting tongue slithers between your thighs and around over your torso, wrapping around your shoulder and pulling you butt-first towards its throat, your head and knees sliding behind its barbed lips. Panic overtakes you as your rump slips into the tight, pulsing flesh of its throat. You have to escape now, or you and Link are both doomed.
Link isn’t faring much better. His sword has fallen from his hand, and his feet are the only thing sticking out of that horrible mouth. His shoulders and head are already squeezing down the plant’s stalk, his desperate face perfectly visible in the tight green flesh.
“Hold on, Link, hold on!” you groan. “I’m coming! Please hold on! Your words are empty, however, as the hungry flower monster gulps greedily, and your butt plunges down its stalk. Your head sticks out of its gullet at the back of its throat, wedged painfully between your own knees. You stare out between your calves and through the gaping mouth of the plant that’s about to swallow you whole. Acid stings your face and burns your teary eyes, as you wiggle helplessly in its throat. The last thing you see is the other plant tilting its head back and quickly chomping down the rest of Link, sending his writhing male body down its stalk and towards the ground. Then, your world goes dark as the plant eating you closes its mouth suddenly and tilts its head back. You scream in terror as it swallows and your folded body sinks towards whatever doom is in store for you. For just one moment you can see through the dimly translucent flesh of its stalk, just in time to see Link’s body getting crammed into the dirt through the predator’s digestive tract. Then you feel your own bottom mashing against the ground, squeezing painfully into the impossibly tight confines of this plant’s unseen anatomy. You squeal in agony as peristalsis mercilessly forces you down, the ground spreading open around your bulk to allow you entry to its gut. You can feel your poor bones creaking as you squeeze through, threatening to snap under the pressure. Soon, you are enveloped in utter darkness as you disappear completely beneath the earth, buried in a very happy plant’s digestive sac. You are literally unable to move an inch, as more of that horrendous acid bubbles up around you.
“Noooooo!” You sob, helpless and alone as you die a slow and painful death. Your skin burns and softens in the boiling acid, melting into easily digestible goo. “Pleeeease! Link, oh Link! Save me!” Your cries of course go unanswered, as Link is suffering the same fate not too far away. “It’s my fault,” you blubber miserably. “It’s all my fault!”
The pain only gets worse as your body is destroyed, bones snapping and popping under the crushing pressure of the deadly belly. You shrink in size and lose your once lovely shape, deformed into a bony, meaty mess to serve as nutrients for a semi-sentient plant. Your last thoughts are of the poor Kokiri boys that will most likely die because you couldn’t save them, and of Link, who followed you to an unimaginably grim death. When death finally comes for you, it is a welcome relief from the endless agony of digestion.
Some time later, the plants hurk up the bones of their dead dinners, spitting you and Link’s mangled skeletons into an undistinguished pile. All that remains if you is a couple of melted boots, some soiled green cloth, tufts of soggy hair, and brittle fragments of bone. With the pair of you in such a useless state, the world is doomed to submit to the will of whoever claims the Trivorce once and for all.
