A Day at the Zoo - Page 9 - Food for the Queen - By Cheesecake90 - Overview
You are just too curious, aren't you? You take a quick glance around you - you are alone - and check the door. The handle easily gives way to your hand and the door swings open as you carefully push it. Half nervous, half proud of your success, you close the door behind you and enter the enclosure. You touch the webs, fascinated at their feel and structure. But soon you realize what they are meant to be - traps. First your fingers, then your hand gets stuck at an attempt to pull it out of the white gluey fabric. You try to rip it apart with your free hand, only to get that one stuck too. Both hands caught in the web, you are struggling to free yourself, your movement sending impulses through the webbings far into the dark of the cave, and soon, something responded.

Slowly, giant legs crawled from the dark. The beasts movement was ominous, knowing, that you could not escape from the stong grasp of the spider web. She focussed her eight eyes on you, she must have been at least eight feet tall and twice the length. Your heart raced, as you tried to struggle harder, to no avail. The spider queen closed in on you, your hands now feeling every step of her eight legs.

She did not hesitate. As soon as you were in reach, her front legs shoved you forwards, face first into the soft and sticky web. Immediately, you felt strong legs from all sides turning and twisting you, covering you in webbing like a coordinated team. The spider had done this a thousand times, probably with goats or whatever it was they fed to them here. The execution was flawless, and soon, you were neatly packed up in a white cocoon, the giant spider dragging you further into the dark.

You feel the movement stop. The giant spider was ready for her meal. Even the air inside the cocoon was thick and sticky, having a strange, rich smell. Every moment appeard thrice as long, as you were lying there, face to the ground. You were however not going to enjoy the soft embrace of the webbing for much longer, as a deep, sharp pain jolted through your body, like two daggers stabbed you in the back. Thankfully, the thick air had made you light headed, so the pain was bearable, and a strange warmth seeped trhough the fresh wounds into your body, down to the bones. It was a tickling feeling, making the pain pass more and more. And it continued to eat through your body ... eat? Yes, that was exactly what was happening, as the spider queen had her fangs stuck inside the cocoon below her, pumping in paralizing digestive fluids.
The warmth had almost reached your neck, as a new sensation came from your back. Like someone grabbed you with one hand and pulled you backwards. But you felt this pulling inside of you, like pieces of your flesh, now mushy and fluid, were sucked out. You were being emptied, literally, as the giant spider drank the nutrient soup she was turning you into. You felt the pulling first in your back muscles, then around your spine, and finally even in your stomach. You vision blurred and your mind vanished more and more, as you now only heard one pumping sound: not your heartbeat, but the quick and rhythmic, hungry sucking and swallowing of your predator. The paralasis took over, and with a feeling of relief, you lost consciousness.

The spider drank from her prey, until the last sip of tasty human soup. What was left behind was only a husk. Your remains soon dried out and were thrown into a dark corner by the queen of the cave, happy about such an exotic meal and waiting for the next visitor, who would get just a little bit too curious...
