You suspect something is wrong. You inspect the area. It's a beautiful day. To the left you see some pidgeys looking at you from a tree and to the right you see a lone vulpix resting in the sun. They pose little threat to you.
It's strange though, they are looking at you hungrily. They are typically scavengers unless in large groups so they most likely won't attack you, so you wonder why. You think for a second. There must be an apex predator nearby. They are waiting on it to kill you then they'll eat what's left.
You suddenly remember what your mother told you, 'don't walk under big trees, there's monsters in them that will gobble you up!' You look at the big old tree closer. You see a white object dangling from the lower limb of the tree twitching back and forth. You follow it back up and see behind the leafs two piercing yellow eyes staring right at you. It's a persian resting on the limb ready to pounce on unexpecting prey.
You get a shiver down your spine. You were almost cat food and you still may be. You still need to get passed it. If you turn around now it will hop down and chase you. You could talk to the persian to see if it will let you pass. Or you could make a dash for it under the tree and hope it doesn't catch you. What do you do?
