The girl absorbed so much of your body, that your power went with it, as well as your consciousness, and your willpower.
An hour after she had flushed the remains of your digested body, the girl was about ready for a nice, long nap when suddenly, the power she absorbed began to torment her, by causing her intense pain all over, and also by raising her body temperature to a critical level.
Soon, her organs began failing, and she couldn't even move. She cursed you, for she knew this was your doing, and then, she stripped her clothes off, fell backward, and died.
An hour passes, and the girl's body begins moving again, she stands up, and her eyes open. But her eyes are now a deep emerald hue, her hair, crimson, and her facial features match those of the fairy she had swallowed, digested and absorbed earlier, for you were now the owner of the girl's body.
Your wings sprout from the back of the girl's body, though they've changed significantly, due to the nature of the girl's heart and spirit, now merged with yours, but they actually seem to fit your new apparatus much better than the wings you once had.
But there's more, much more. You also seem to be able to understand the girl's angst, and reason for being the way she is. A tear falls from your eyes at the girl's painful memories, but is quickly dried by the final, assuring words of the girl's fading consciousness. 'I've no regrets, not even now. I bet you can rule over your own kind, using both my power and your own, and then, I'll have all sorts of lovely food in my belly. It's an honor, to be your surrogate.' And with that, you grin, laugh and take off for your village, wondering what it'll be like, to taste the flesh of your own kind...
