You shout the incantation for the Novice level Wind Spell, Vorta, and it slams into the stalk of the flower, knocking it backward, and dispersing the noxious stench of the nectar just enough for you to regain focus.
The flower hadn't been defeated, however, the spell had weakened it a great deal, and pissed it off that much more.
It lunges at you, but you jump very high, and land on its' head, slamming the head into the ground.
You jump off, and quickly notice the head is not moving, or at least, not moving very much.
You squat to examine it closely, when it suddenly pulls its' head up, and roars at you.
In your present position, the flower would have no trouble lunging down, and swallowing you in one fell swoop.
However, the damage you had done was more than enough, and the head falls sideways, and with a final groan, the flower dies, and is quick to degrade into dust.
You sit on the ground, cross-legged, and write down everything that had happened, and details on the effects of the spell, plus your theories on what happened and why.
After that, its off to HQ.
You deliver your report, and afterwards, your mission is done. However, you're due a vacation, and since you now have some time off for your good work, you could use it to relax somewhere other than home, or you could just stay home.
It's up to you.
