World of Vorecraft - Page 507 - It was an elf. - By sweetladyamy - Overview
"Oh, Ruja! Long time, no see!" you exclaim as you greet your elven friend.

"Celine! Surprised you're not a pile of feces somewhere. You've been here the longest; you're amazing." Ruja replied, as she sat down.

"Vodka, on the rocks?" you ask with a smile, looking at your friend.

"Nah, I think I'll just have you." Ruja replies.

You drop the shot glass. "Come again?"

"I mean, as eye candy. I envy your body. I wish I had tits like yours." Ruja replied.

Embarrassed by your instinct, you quickly grab a hand broom to sweep up the broken glass. "I had a patron last night tell me basically the same thing, except he was going to swallow me. He made the mistake of pouncing on my bar. No one puts their smelly shoes, or paws or feet, on my bar! So I grabbed my beating stick." you said.

"I heard about that. That might have been a mistake, hence what I had said earlier. That was the leader of a pack. When word gets back to them...I don't think I could fend off a whole pack of wolverines." Ruja replied, and just as she finished her sentence, as if on cue, one of those wolverines prowled inside, teeth baring at you.

"Did you hurt our leader?" It asked.

"He jumped on my bar, and no one ever puts their smelly feet, paws or shoes on my bar, GOT IT!???" you replied, shaking the room slightly. Ruja had her ears covered.

"Damn, woman! You could move mountains with your booming voice!" whined the wolverine.

Just as the wolverine finished his sentence, his ears perked, and his head moved. He leapt onto you, holding you down as a rockslide came crashing into town.

When you came to, one fifth of your bar had been smashed by a cascade of dragon-egg sized boulders.

The wolverine, and all your patrons were gone.

Except Ruja, who was now tending to the wolverine's wounds. "Now I know how you shattered the wine glasses in my mother's house, fifteen years ago. It was your earthshaking voice, when you two argued."

You leap over the bar, and rush to Ruja's aid.

"Celine, this isn't good. This is one of their elite hunters. Now they might just be after your head."

You sigh. Like you meant for this to happen.

You make a decision right then and there.
