World of Vorecraft - Page 362 - Ogre Mound - By Marlik - Overview
You decide to head over to the Ogre Mound, fascinated by the similar magical powers you and the ogre mages posses. You imagine that any spellcasters in the area must have some idea of what's going on, no matter how dumb they are. Your biggest concern, at this point, is that this may be tough to break to your Worgen roommate back in Stormwind, because you are investigating the terrible Worgen, which are easily confused with the good Worgen who are proud and greatful members of the Alliance.

Making your way to the mound, you notice something strange in the wildlife which you didn't notice in Westfal or Elwyn Forest. The animals of Duskwood are hyper-agressive (and undead, but everyone knows that). From what you know of the undead, which is a lot, undead creatures are typically docile and slow, unless they are being commanded to be aggressive, or if, somehow, their natural source of sustenance, the necrotic energy provided when anything dies, is disrupted. Usually, smaller undead can live off of squishing ants, but all of them are more or less fine with breathing the overwhelming necrotic energy from all who die in the surrounding areas, that's how they can linger for so long.

Knowing there is nothing you can do about this, for now, you simply take a mental note, and move on.
It takes some time, but you finally reach Ogre Mound.
The ogres are mostly brutish and graceless creatures. Their bellies swing far over their small loincloths, and you are almost certain that you've spotted one or two ballsacks swinging from their poorly concealed crotches. The site might have been arousing except that ogres are hideous and smell terrible.

The smell is made much worse by the smell of what you know to be burning human, dwarf, gnome or elvish flesh coming from one of their fires. (Ok, you've seen some battle, some fucking awful battles. You can identify what burning flesh smells like because more often than not you are the one doing the burning. That's half the reason the Alliance pulled you off the Horde front and put you on solo missions.)

The ogres are grunting and shouting their brutish language not to mention their heavy stomping footsteps alert you to each of their exact locations.

In the distance, you can see the ceremonial fires of a shamanic ritual going on near the mouth of one cave.

So, taking account of your situation, you think of a few options
