Ever so slowly, you waste away, until you don't even have the strength to crawl to the river's edge and drink. You lie dying from starvation and thirst on the riverbank, wondering what decisions would have spared you this fate. At this point, you're certain that Headmistress Allison Jade won't even come back down to the sub-basement to look at your bones. You've been forgotten. Left to die. And sure enough, your life fades, and fades, and fades...

Suddenly you find yourself staring down upon your emaciated form. You spin around in confusion, only to spot the old man with the rowboat once more. From beneath his moth-eaten cowl, his hollow voice beckons you.

"Come, child. You are ready to cross now."

"W-what?! Am-am I--"

"You are dead, yes. And I am here to ferry you across the river." You stare, unbelieving.

"I thought you said you only ferried the souls of the damned."

"Quite right, my child." You feel a lump rising in your throat. No. Oh no.

"But what have I done to be d-d-damned? I've been good!"

"Oh, yes. You have. The soul of an innocent is a most prized sacrifice."

"Sacrifice?!"

"Well, yes. Allison Jade is a loyal servant of my dark mistress, and you... well, you were an offering to Her. Lilith will have ever so much fun with you!" A cackling laughter fills your ears. You find yourself involuntarily drawn into the boat with the cloaked man, and once again he pushes off. As the shore drifts further and further away, you find yourself contemplating the eternity you're destined to spend in Hell.
