The Adventures of Lulu - Page 10 - The North Path - By Megaladong - Overview
You take the north path. You walk for ten minutes then come up on a rock. The rock is the marker for the edge of the territory of the tribe. You remember hearing all the tales of horrible monsters that live outside the tribe and how they would gobble you up. You don't know how much of that is just story or how much of it is real. Most of the dangerous predators are pushed out by the tribe's patrol groups. The patrols are a squad of five to ten male pikachus, usually the strongest. They go around the perimeter of the territory and look out for predators. If they find evidence of one they'll track and kill it before it can become a threat. You've hardly even seen a predator, other than a few close calls with pidgeottos. That and vulpix who share the watering hole but they have never tried to kill you.
Once you and some of your friends snuck out to this rock when you were pichus. They were all to scared to go passed it but you were brave. You walked out about ten feet and turned around. They were all huddled together with wide eyes begging you to come back. You laughed and danced, "see, it's not scary out here." At that exact second a rustle came from a tree above. You got scared and ran back quickly crashing into your friends. You looked up, it was just a pidgey. You and your friends had a good laugh.
You take a deep breath and step pass the rock. This time you don't stop ten feet out, you keep walking, you don't look back. You are now the adventurer you always dreamed of being. Next stop, Thunder Mountain.
You walk about a mile and come to a small clearing. About twenty feet in front of you is a large old tree over hanging a well worn path that goes straight for a long way. Shortly after the tree the path forks left. The left path is much smaller and less worn. Most likely this path would take you back to the rivers edge while the big path would take you deeper into the woods. What do you do?
