It turns out there is more truth to the vinegar trick than meets the eye. One rescue attempt later, and one family is reunited as another begins to crumble. Though their time imprisoned as had more effect on them then Kale is willing to admit.

Enjoyable alternative spin-off :)
Cool scene getting the girls out again, and a nice happy ending. Sort of.
Gabby got held as a captive facing imminent death for like three months and then after she'd escaped her own sister that she'd been held with turned on her, tied her up, and forced her back into the place that had been killing her, but she seems to get over that particular mental trauma well enough that the next morning she can joke with the likewise captee girls turned unrepentant captors as they inflict something similar on the one that rescued them.
Happy ending. Sort of.

It was intended more as a curiosity turned to some playful teasing and slight payback. I doubt Abby would actually entrap him until his wedding day.
With Gabby I see what you mean, but I thought it more as off screen she mentioned this could be something they can do and draws the short straw. Gabby chickened out but the others weren't so keen on not exploring this new part of themselves.
I hope I didn't come off rude, just explaining how I intended it. I was running out of word count, so a lot of motivations were left up to interpretations.

Not rude at all, it can be good to hear the author's thoughts on stuff like this. (And good to know it's mostly just teasing :P)
Curiosity I can certainly see, although I'm not sure who is paying who back for what. Just seemed slightly odd to me that after experiencing being on the receiving end they were so blasé about putting others through the same ordeal.
Out of curiosity, when you say running out of word count, had you set a maximum for yourself or something? Or was it a limit of the commission?

It was a limit of the commission.
For the payback, it was mostly just for Kale seeming to have forgotten them, or at least becoming unfazed by it.

Absolutely AWESOME!
Love how the girls can control their abilities and not regress the ones they love.
Would have liked to see Kale go all the way in to save his last sister only to wind up taking her place and getting stuck.^^
However his own sisters pulling a fast on on him for taking so long is a brilliant twist!
Wanna read more stuff like this!
