Spectator's role in Vore
Does anybody else find themself most attracted to being a spectator in vore, rather than pred or prey?
I've always found this and I'm very curious as to why so many other people are attracted to a more active role. Or maybe its harder to convey in the art or a story, I haven't created any so I'm not sure. Has anybody else felt this way?

Re: Spectator's role in Vore
That's a fascinating idea.
I love the idea of being part of it just because I'm in love with forever belonging to someone, but watching would most certainly be fun, else few of us would bother being here.
What happens if the main character isn't eating anyone or anything and doesn't GET eaten?
I honestly don't think I've seen any art or read any stories like that.
This should be a thing.

For me, witnesses complicate things too much.

Re: Spectator's role in Vore
In most my fantasies I am just a unseen spectator watching something unfold between two characters that I like. I do have fantasies that feature myself as prey but there quite different than the ones where I am just watching with the characters unaware I am there. In the fantasies where I am a spectator its always unwilling prey where as when the fantasy features myself with a character I like I am a willing prey and the pred is more gentle with me than the other characters.

Art I can't say, but it would be simple enough to convey in a story, from my experience. I just personally feel like watching is boring, because the thrill in it is what I experience myself.

It was a bridge on the way to becoming a predator myself.

As much as I like being a more "active" part in a vore scenario, I really adore the idea of being the spectator/observer.
Through this, I came to love the idea of feeding other prey to a pred aswell. And for some other reason I can't really explain, I very much enjoy the idea of feeding someone close to me to a hungry predator, like my girlfriend for example.

I guess all the years of not being able to participate in vore made me a spectator. It's a domination thing; being in a position to watch others be eaten and bid preds to do so but be in no danger yourself. In fatal scenarios you're making others perish to rustle your own jimmies, and in non fatal you're at least making them experience sever peril and or discomfort rather than assisting them in any way. It just adds to the demeaning and helplessness of the prey to not only being vored but in front of an audience eager to watch it.

I just don't get the idea of voyeurism in general.
is it supposed to appeal to those people who can't get any?
I mean, whenever I've seen something I fancy I always get it in the end.
I can have whoever I want.
why just view the scene when you can take part?

That's a rather strange view for someone partaking on a fetish site
It doesn't have to do with anyone being able to get anything, it's just a preference/kink.
It's like saying: "Duh, I just don't get how people can enjoy bananas, they are so sweet"
To each their own.

it just baffles me how they can prefer not to take part.
get in there.
have some fun.
it's a fantasy realm, you can do what you want.
and you WANT to do nothing?
are you sure it's not a force of habit thing?

Mostly Observer here. Never prey. Sometimes help the pred, sometimes save the prey, sometimes just watch.

Re: Spectator's role in Vore
I mostly consist of prey, but have characters in more predatory positions.
To me, some of the fun can simply be the watching aspect. For example, a casual conversation between three parties suddenly turns into a conversation between two parties, and a gurgling stomach. Whether or not the 'surviving' party is offended or not is up for how the story would go.
Though, I have a preference for indifference. Either through not minding the consumption, or encouraging it.

So do most predators, I'd wager.

I have fantasies of watching a predator digest someone and rubbing their belly to help them.

Re: Spectator's role in Vore
Spectator has always been a weird role imo because am I physically on the scene or is it like I'm using a free camera to look at the scene at any angle and zoom, including inside the pred?? I spectate a lot in vore but that's just a question I'm unable to answer.

My experience is similar. I always though of myself in a pretty on-the-nose behind the 4th wall spectator before I realized what side I was really rooting for.
Spectators in vore can be pretty fun though. Some of my favorite pieces are preds doing cam shows, or preds gloating about their catch over the phone. Then there's the ever so rare witness giving the pred a belly rub. My favorite variation on the theme is when the witness happens to be another predator on friendly terms congratulating a "colleague" after a well earned meal.
30,000 words in half finished stories and counting!

Working with other predators I do quite like, especially because of my less savoury side-interests.

Re: Spectator's role in Vore
As a pred, I like the thought of people watching me as I swallow others down.
Some people wishing it was them being eaten, others wishing it was then doing the eating.
It’s a display of power and dominance.
