Sexual response cycle endo

Postby randomguy9 » Wed Jan 26, 2022 6:15 pm

One thing I've always been fascinated by is the male/female reproductive systems and the various changes that the body goes through during sexual intercourse. There's a lot to it that's been pretty infrequently explored — not just in endo but also in real life as well, since we didn't really understand a lot of it until very recently.

But there are some recent documentaries that show the various changes the body goes through during sex. Here's one of my favorites (from 36:40 onwards)

One thing I'd love to see explored more is endo involving sex and the changes to the body during sex like this, showing the human body's as a sort of elaborate machine that reacts in various ways to sexual stimuli. The closest I know of is this old French comic called "shrinking dreams" which I believe has been shared on Eka's a few times before. Attached below are what it looks like.

Sadly, while this comic is great, there's still a couple of inaccuracies in it (possibly as a result of being fairly old and based on outdated science). We now know that vaginal lubrication is mostly made of blood plasma and sort of seeps through the vagina walls during sexual arousal as a result of increased blood flow, as you can kinda see in this medical animation:

Sadly, there's not a lot that really explores this in endo. There's even less that explores the male anatomy, weirdly, and I can't even find any good medical animations showing the inner processes of the male reproductive system during sexual intercourse. We know for example that during ejaculation, sperm is squeezed through the testes and vas deferens via peristalsis motion, similar to the muscle movement of the digestive tract, before being mixed with fluid from the seminal vesicle prostate.

So with this in mind, I'd love to see more endo that explores the inner workings of the male and female reproductive systems during sexual intercourse in a way that adequately demonstrates how it works. If there's anything I somehow missed (writing or visual media) I'd love to know.

I mentioned this in another thread, but here's an English-subbed translation of the "Cells at Work! Lady" manga, which shows a bit of what happens to a woman's body while she's having sex.

Doesn't look like a real body, sadly, but this is pretty close!

Here's another one I found that's very good. From a documentary called "The Biology of Love," with extensive focus on the physiological changes to the body during sex:
