Just so people are aware, this wouldn't be the first time they've started a patreon.

The original thread was closed due to,"...lack of any content whatsoever since the thread first started."
And its years later and they're still advertising Gulpquest name.
I could be wrong , and they release a wonderful remake of gulpquest with tons of new vore scenes that not only meet the quality of the original but surpass it.
But until they prove themselves honest, I would highly reccomend shying from giving them money. I understand if they are currently living in a rough situation and have health issues. If that's the case, you should honestly focus on your own livelihood before making fetish content. If you really wanna do it, thats fine. But it should probably wait for a more stable time in your life.
Not here to start a fight, just want to make people aware- this is fetish games on a fetish website afterall. I am unaware how much was given on the patreon, or if the patrons got anything via patreon. I think I checked it once and saw like $50 but it could've been somebody else's I saw. Also unaware if he gave refunds.

So what if they don't? I talk about my projects too.
Not judging. Just trying to confirm.

JDandAliProductions wrote:Okay guys we have had an idea for a new game and want your opinions on it. The idea is an open world, sandbox, life simulation game with vore.
Here's my opinion: This is going to crash and burn.
JDandAliProductions wrote: The idea is to start with a city with all the things the players and NPCs will need to live in the world and an area around the outside which is nature for the players to explore and then to release more and more updates until we have an entire living world with multiple countries
This is less of an "idea" and more of a "wishful thinking". You might as well plan for the NPCs to write full-length novels I can read in-game. As my grandmother used to say, 'you are promising the moon and selling the sun', trying to get money for things that you can't sell because you do not own them and can't deliver because they're not within your ability to create or control. Your suggestions are highly unrealistic. I suggest you take a large dose of realism, look at some of the other games here that made it past the first rough demo, and then ask yourself seriously:
"Why do I think I can do so very, very much better?"
I look forwards to hearing your answer.
Unless you have a good answer, your project is almost certain to lie abandoned within a few months, with no open world, no sandbox, and maybe a half-finished life simulation of one single demo character.

First off:
OptimisticDinner = different people (PLEASE READ THE POSTS !!!)
Second: On the new game? If your going to take on more work, maybe the whole open word thing might be a little much right now. How about just a small city or local to start then add to it as you work out from there.
(Just so you could get a decent demo out to start. Then see if there is interest in supporting.)
As all ways just making some suggestions.
Have a nice day.

Re: JD and Ali's Vore Games
As Bright have already said, it sounds ambitious to say the least.
Are you sure you would be up to the task? Even with more people this would take quite a few years to get it anywhere. I mean, just look at No Man's Sky: it took a few years of postlaunch updates before they got even close where they wanted.
In anycase, I assume this world would be procedurally generated? Sounds impossible to do this with all handcrafted experiences, or are you're planning to code an A.I. to do all the storytelling?
Is it going to be only text or will there be graphical elements?
Is it an FPS? Over the shoulder? Asymmetrical? There's not a lot of necessary information here; you've told us about the world but how we interact with it.
Also, if you want us to pay for your product, I think we need a little more than just promises. Get a prototype going, or at the very least some screenshots so we know what it actually looks like!

Before I go on, yes it is a very ambitious idea, a few years ago me and my team on my game design course attempted to create something similar and actually had a large amount of success but due to our differences in ideas as to where we should take it after college ended the whole project just got left behind.
Now in answer to your first question, each play through would be different because it is down to the players and the NPCs to build towns and cities out in the world with only a few places being pre built and added in with the world expansion updates.
Second, there won't be so much of a story as we are trying to create a world that players could get lost in and feel as if they are interacting with actual people.
Third, we are intending for this game to be 3D with the option for 1st person perspective so people who choose the be prey can see it from their own point of view.
Finally, I wouldn't be expecting anyone to pay for anything without us first giving you something to help you decide whether it's worth it.
EDIT: We have included a link to our Twitch channel in the first post where you can watch me doing my part of the game design stuff

I have, I genuinely dont believe this is not zarachrest on an alt. And even if I'm wrong and it isnt, it should be a lesson to e wary of patreons for games that dont have any content yet.
And if it isnt zarachrest, they should probably make sure Sarus is okay with an entirely separate group of people taking over development for a game they only okayed with zarachrest. Though I dont know if sarus really cares tbh. But it would be the polite thing to do.

Okay firstly we stated that we may need a patreon, not that we are actually going to start one, we asked how people would feel about it.
Secondly while we are not the same person as Zarachrest, we do happen to know him personally and live in the same city. Zarachrest is an extremely ill person so getting angry at him for not giving you something in a time that you deem acceptable is a bit selfish, in numerous of his posts he has stated that he is ill so cannot get things done in the time he had previously stated.

Not really angry, just want to make sure people dont give money to something before its proven to be trustworthy. Looking out for my fellow internet denizens, ya know?
Honestly feel free to prove me wrong, I would love to be wrong. More content creators is never bad. So please do continue working and release your first game and laugh at the silly optimisticdinner who doubted you!
With that said, nothing you just said made me doubt myself. Dont really trust you, afterall. Don't trust zara either because he's acted strangely in the past as well. And that story is kinda wacky. I've seen people do weirder in internet communities.
Oh and you should really make sure sarus is cool with you working on this. Dont want to speak for them, but not all creators are okay with you working on their projects without explicit permission. I'd you've already asked and gotten itm, then that's fine. My bad for pushing it.

You are well within your rights not to trust me I haven't exactly given you a reason to. I have Ali sat here with me at the moment helping me to move because I can't move on my own thanks to an immobilizer I have on my leg. I asked JD and Ali to take over Gulp Quest for me until I am better which has caused them to have to put their own game on hold just to do me a favour.

Re: JD and Ali's Vore Games
We have decided we are going to wait for Gulp Quest for now, the reason why is simple, at the moment we do not feel as though we would be able to do it justice because of our art skills, so we are going to practice our art a bit more and then continue development, we are also going to have Zarachrest working with us because he is finally recovering and can actually walk with crutches now.
What this means for you guys is that you'll have to wait before a new update for Gulp Quest is released but we are working on other stuff to keep you entertained in the meantime, like for example an extremely well designed universe that merges ideas from 3 different game development teams including ourselves, that has been getting worked on for many years now in the form of stories we have never shared with anyone other than each other. These stories will now be released as games, these stories take place across 3 planets, Valkyru, Desteria and Secoria, and across many centuries from the perspectives of a very large cast of characters.
So we hope you guys are not mad at us as we know how much you want a new Gulp Quest update but at the moment we don't want to end up disappointing you by not being as good as Sarus. So to make it up to you we will release something else while we work on making the new update to the same quality as Sarus.

We are looking for people who would be interested in making a few Sims 3 animations for us because apparently we can't do it ourselves no matter how much we try, we are planning to make a pretty big mod to convert the whole game to make it revolve around vore so vore jobs and interaction and all sorts.

Re: JD and Ali's Vore Games
Just a bit of an update as to what is going on for everyone, all games are on hold due to Covid 19 lockdown here in the UK, I happen to work for the British government and I have had to relocate to a new location to help security teams to help contain the virus. As soon as this is all over everything can return to normal and i'll be able to access my Unreal Engine again.
