If it's worth anything, I still think a hard difficulty option with a game timer would be a great addition if it's possible. It could add extra challenge and put an end to stalemates that take forever to resolve.

Who's gonna be the next character?

Lightvsdark777, there probably won't be a next character for Ultimate Blackjack. It's been a fun project, and it got a ton of support from the community but there's a few difficult factors keeping it from going further:

• For one, it cost me about $200 of my own money to develop the game. Now, that's actually really good! Commissioning every single image at the usual rates from each artist ran the cost of the project up over $4000, and community donations to support each artist ultimately covered almost the entire cost!
• I'm working on a number of other projects at the moment, including ones I'd like to share with the forum. The blackjack game was a great vehicle to work with artists and practice writing, but there's not much else I can do with the concept at this point. Working on other projects gives me room to try other styles of games.
• The game was written in 2015, and a lot has changed technologically since then. I'd like to try importing the code into a newer version of the dev tool I used to see whether I can at least make some updates, but there's a lot of stuff that was written just before technologies like HTML5 and some major Android publishing infrastructure were rolling out. I finished coding this game before Windows 10 even existed! So it may be more work than it's worth to go back into there.

At long last, I finally got the last, remaining art of defeating and eating all the lovely ladies. Been a long time since I did my fanart of this game. So much time has passed that I now want to redo my fanart instead of inking and colouring those old pieces. It will be one heck of a project that I don't have the time for currently. Other things in the works and commissions to be completed. I do want to return to drawing all these wonderful and tasteful dealers being swallowed and soon. Suppose I could probably get the story I've been doing on the side done before that. Thank you again for this wonderful little game Journeyman, ♥

badboy965, Could mean a few things but generally, when the game tried to create the save-data file, something went wrong.
Couple things to try:
1) Look in your computer's local appdata folder for one called Blackjack4 and delete it. Try the game again. (You can find the folder by typing %localappdata% into your Start menu)
2) Every so often, we've had cases where the game data doesn't fully download correctly. Just the nature of the internet. Try re-downloading the game to see whether that clears it up.

I’m new to the game and I was wondering how do I get the art for each character in the game. I can’t tell if my game is outdated or not but I would like to know if I’m doing something wrong XD

Each time that you defeat a dealer, you'll be taken to a capsule prize machine, which will give you a set of rewards. Sometimes, you get cheats to use, sometimes you unlock artwork. The artwork will open in a web browser so you can save it--but it's also located in the Appdata folder for the game once it's unlocked.

hydralover239, hiya! When you unlock an image, it opens in a web browser so you can save, but it's also saved locally on your computer in the location Microsoft makes for individual apps. This folder is in different places depending a bit on version of Windows, but the default is something like C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Local

It might not use your full username, though. Easiest way to get to that folder is to go to your start menu and to type %localappdata% (all one word, including the percent signs). This directs you to the location for application data, which is where the files for the game are saved. Locate Blackjack4 in there (the internal name of this game) and you'll see your save files and also a folder with any images you unlocked.

Is there a mobile version of this game for the android?

Darkwarrior676, ahh, unfortunately not really anymore.But maybe? In a limited sense? http://www.stormingleech.com/assets/Ult ... ckjack.apk will download the mobile version of the game. You'll have to allow install from unknown sources (the phone will prompt you about it) in order to install, and you can (and should) restore the setting to "not allowed" after the app is done. Upon running, you'll likely get a prompt that it was made for an earlier version of Android.

It does, as far as I know, still actually work, though. Trick is, the app got too big for a regular apk package file after the 4th dealer, so the final 2 dealers and bonus image downloads are not available in the mobile version.
