The Stalker (Whitebrand and Lyanna)

Postby Whitebrand » Sun Sep 11, 2022 7:57 am

Marty was a pig, both literally and figuratively. He made his waitresses wear low-cut, bust-lifting "uniforms" and openly ogled and "flirted" (read as: made lots of demeaning comments) at them while he ran the place. He even hinted that he regularly got laid by his staff, encouraging the same bad behavior in the customers. When one is already generously endowed the result made one look almost freakishly erotic, which resulted in not just crude commentary but outright catcalls and propositions. Worst of all...he paid well, and the tips were almost always good. Better than most restaurants, in fact, so for the sake of income most girls had to put up with Marty and his customers.

The paradox was oddly that he was very protective of his staff too. While he openly encouraged the men who ate there to come on to the staff, he didn't tolerate actual assault. Anyone who got too handsy with the girls publicly got their asses handed to them...as though he were protecting his personal harem. He even escorted staff out to their cars if they felt unsafe...which happened a lot thanks to his cavalier attitude with them inside.

Lyanna the catgirl was one of his "favorites". Being very pretty already, the outfit she had to wear turned her into a complete knockout when she made the effort to look good (which Marty encouraged). Sadly, tonight she wasn't able to use her car to get home...it was in the shop for repairs and there was no car rental policy. She would have to rely on the bus.

Fortunately, while Marty insisted on escorting her to the stop, he did not stay with her once she got there. He felt the pull of his restaurant too keenly to keep watch over the catgirl.

"Moving your ass real good tonight," he "complemented" her before he headed back to his business. "I like seeing that. So do the customers. Do more of it, sweet cheeks."

She hadn't had a lot of choice...she'd had to dodge several butt-slaps and pick up a few spills this evening. Naturally Marty would interpret all that as "ass-moving". As if he were capable of looking at anything else.

He patted her shoulder as though they were friendly and returned to his restaurant. This left her the only one standing out there in the night, waiting for er bus to arrive. Hopefully it would be on time.

This is not a great city to be a girl down on her luck, in any case. Dingy, run-down slums; a massive gulf between de facto aristocrats and many of the common folk. Lyanna would not put up with the way she's treated here if she didn't feel like she needed the money to try and get out of here. She might still wear a little dress like this sometimes, though; it does look very good. As Marty praises her work she smiles softly "Of course, thanks boss." When he leaves though, she lets out a sigh of relief and reaches back to let her hair down, red tresses falling down to mid-back.

This could still be a long night.

A breeze swept past and moved her hair a bit. No...not exactly a breeze. More like an intake of breath of something smelling her hair.

But there was nothing around her. Just her and the empty street.

No...lights were coming around the far corner. The bus was here a half hair early. Someone was surely smiling down in her.

The catgirl shivers a bit at the unusual breeze which seems to come from nowhere; strange that it doesn't seem to be blowing anything else around. The weather's been a bit odd lately, but that feels uncanny and unnerves her a bit. She looks around for a moment, a little on edge. Her feline tail puffs out for a moment before twitching when she sees the lights. The bus? Did she lose track of time somehow? It shouldn't be here yet but she feels a sense of relief that it is and steps closer to the sidewalk.

The bus slowed and came to a stop, its warm lights making the bus stop look slightly less abandoned. The clear doors opened.

For just an instant the reflective glass showed the cat girl and image of herself...and something big looming behind her. The image was there and gone so fast that it would be easy to have imagined it.

Then the doors opened the rest of the way to reveal the driver: a woman Marty would have appreciated. A human woman with a figure similar to Lyanna's and a kind face.

"Evening," she said as she flipped a switch or two on her console. She clearly did not see whatever had been reflected in the glass behind her newest passenger.

Something unnerves Lyanna, like she's seeing something out of the corner of her eye. She quickly turns her head but there is nothing there, and after the shiver runs all the way down her spine she takes a breath and chalks it up to tiredness. She smiles softly to the driver as she steps on to the bus. "Evening to you too. Glad you're early." She takes fare out of her purse and drops it in to the machine before giving the driver another little smile and heading back to find a seat. She settles in to it, legs crossed at the ankles. For a moment she looks around anxiously before letting out a heavy sigh. It's still going to be a long ride.

"Almost a little too early," the driver said with a smile. "Streets are practically empty. Fun time."

The driver waited at the stop another thirty seconds to keep herself on schedule. She closed the doors at last and put the bus into gear. Finally the vehicle pulled away from the curb and into the road.

After a block Lyanna caught another glimpse of strangeness. As the bus slowed to take a corner the cat girl saw a large hunched shape reflected in the glass windows of the building they were next to. Again it was something big...and this time it looked like it had glowing gold eyes.

Right up until the "eyes" turned out to be a reflection of the headlights of an oncoming car. Before Lyanna could get a second look the bus turned the corner and the image was gone again.

The bus straightened out and began to cough. After several moments the bus began to slow down. The driver was fiddling with her console of controls, frowning.

"Just got this thing tuned up yesterday," she muttered as the bus continued to slow down.

Lyanna just answers with a little nod and a "hm", already wanting to just be home. She's staring off at nothing in particular when she sees something strange again. She looks at it in confusion and sits up ramrod straight with her ears perked up in surprise until she realizes what it is and grumbles to herself about what a long day it's been. She gets lost in her own head again until things slow down, and then she gets nervous once more; she looks around desperately for a moment and really hopes it's not what she thinks it is.

It is. She lets out a long groan.

"Please tell me we won't need to wait for someone to get out here and fix it..." she calls out.

"That depends on what I find." The driver said as she unbuckled her belts. "Relax. I'll let you know what we do next."

The woman opened the bus doors and climbed out of her seat. She walked out the doors and headed around towards the bus's left side. Lyanna could hear a panel opening.

"What the...?"

Suddenly there was a shadowy blur. Something caught the bus driver and yanked her upwards. Something heavy landed on the roof, bending it down slightly in the middle. The driver began screaming in fear and outrage.

There was one more terrified scream. The sound of tearing clothing. The sight of the driver's ruined uniform dropping from the roof and past the window.

Gobbling, gulping sounds. Like the shrieking driver was being eaten whole and alive.

Silence.

The creaking of metal as whatever big thing was on the roof shifted its weight.

Lyanna just nods and leans back in to her seat with a weary sigh, closing her eyes for a moment. She idly drums her fingers against the leather of her purse. Her eyes open with a start when those sensitive feline ears pick something up; a moment later she sees... something... and then she hears it, and feels the impact, and what she's been seeing becomes real. She lets out a short shriek and stumbles out of her seat.

It wouldn't be much fun if she had to run in this uniform. She at least had the sense to change in to flats and put away that apron, but the tight red minidress is still constricting; it's short enough that she's sure she accidentally flashes customers quite often but not short enough that it won't get in the way running. Not to mention, it isn't really possible to wear a bra in this thing and it just barely contains her breasts. She probably won't remain decent if she has to make a break for it.

This is not her most pressing concern, of course. She moves slowly, carefully... towards the window and leans towards it a bit, trying to assess what exactly she's dealing with and if she's safer staying in here or trying to flee. Fighting something that can do all of this wouldn't be an option even if she did have any sort of weapon. She does have a flashlight; she takes it out of her purse and grips it in her left hand.

WHAM!

A big, muscular arm connected to a big taloned hand smacked hard against the window. The limb was sheathed in glittering scales, suggesting a lizard-man type...but it was so big. Twice the size of a man.

Luckily the plastic window held. The open palm slammed hard again against the barrier. A second later the arm disappeared back to its owner on the roof of the bus.

A monster of some kind. A real monster. Something that she couldn't seem to seen unless it wanted to be seen.

A flashlight probably won't help.

The catgirl jumps back and cries out, stumbling back towards the opposite end of the bus in a panic. Her tail sticks out behind her, looking huge with how it puffs out. She gasps for breath, heart pounding in her chest when adrenaline hits her. She squats down to the floor trying to make herself small for a moment, her mind racing as she tries to figure out what to do. Ultimately she decides to wait, and watch for a sign that the creature has its attention elsewhere. She slowly crawls closer to the door in case it does, trying to make as little noise as possible. Time slows to a glacial crawl.

The arm returned, reaching down and tearing open the secondary pair of doors. There was a thump outside as whatever it was leaped from the bus roof to the curb.

The thing entered through the ruined door. It was big all right...an anthro dragon-like creature covered with scale plates and horns sweeping back from its draconian head. It was twice the size of a man all right, and stooped to enter the bus. It's stomach was filled with something...presumably the driver.

It didn't seem to see Lyanna at first. Instead it sniffed at the air while it searched the bus with its golden eyes.

Lyanna claps her hand over her mouth as the door is ripped off, so she doesn't audibly scream. Hard not to, with what she sees. She scoots towards some seats to slide underneath them, quaking with fear as she risks a peek out at the creature. She has seen some unusual types of... people... in this city, but none like this. She observes for a moment, tries to calm down enough to formulate a plan. Fighting is obviously not an option; the creature is several times her size.

Noting the creature has to crouch inside the bus, maybe she'll have time for what she's thinking. Right now, Lyanna's thankful that fine body Marty loves showing off to his customers gets her such generous tips. She'd pay a bit not to get caught by this thing, so it will hear the carefully thrown roll of coins smack the floor under a nearby seat. Lyanna does not stop to see if that actually causes it to turn its attention that way, she just runs as fast as she can. Right out the door and down the street at a full sprint!

The dragon man turned its head straight to the sound of the coins hitting the bus floor. It turned its body towards the noise, discovering too late that it had been a distraction. The sexily dressed cat girl was out of the bus and away before it could turn on her.

She could hear the frustrated roar of the creature behind her a she ran for her life. She could feel the skirt riding up her hips and her breasts threatening to come free, but for the most part she was able to keep clothed as she fled.

The city streets were so empty. Just parked cars on the road and closed shops. The residential homes were blocks away in every direction, and there was no way to be sure where she was in her blind flight.

Modesty will have to wait.

Lyanna is fit and able to run at this pace for a little while, but she looks around for the nearest place to duck in to that has actual people in it. Even a seedy dive bar or a 24-hour convenience store would do. She looks desperately for anything like that... but is there anything?

Loud country music met her ears. Her eyes were able to see the bar...The Wagon Wheel...still open it this time of night. The neon signs featuring different beer choices flickered in the windows and she could hear the chatter of a small crowd inside. Right next door was an S-Mart convienence store that has a couple of cars parked in front of it. Surely someone inside either place would have a phone.

Ok, so... presumably more witnesses is better? Yes, of course. She finally slows down as she approaches the bar and once she's in she doubles over and starts gasping for breath. She's wet with sweat and aches from the exertion, mind still racing and trying to process the situation. It takes a moment before she's actually able to look around. Still shaking, she stands up straight and moves slowly to the bar as she formulates her plan. Who can she call? The police? No, what would she tell them? They usually don't bother coming out here even when the report doesn't sound ludicrous. A friend? Maybe, but then is she just getting someone else in to this mess? Could she get some cowboy to take her home? She probably has to pay for that option with her body. Tough choice... she needs to think about it; she finds a seat at the bar and just tries to steady her breath, hands pressing down firmly on it.

"Oh, Honey, you look like you've been through the mill," a waitress said in a folksy sort of accent.

The waitress was a human blond in shorts and a t-shirt, serving mostly anthro people who were speaking at least a couple of different languages. When the waitress turned her attention to Lyanna, other people's started noticing her too.

"Restroom's right over there, Honey," she added. "How about you straighten yourself out in there, then you can talk about what's happened, huh?"
