TLoZ ~ Daybreak Desires (Darian & GeneticMess)

Postby GeneticMess » Wed Aug 09, 2017 11:16 pm

With a loud thud, the large doors of Lady Impa's chambers, which functioned as Kakariko's equivalent of a town hall, were brought to a close. The entire room lacked any sort of light, until an array of candles surrounding the back wall of the room was lit. Every person in the room was seated, patiently watching the middle(ish)-aged women takes her place at the center of the group.

"Thank you all for coming on such sort notice." She spoke directly, her expression stern and serious. As one of the direct defenders of the royal family, appointing to the princess of Hyrule herself, Impa was held with high regard in Kakariko. Even more so by the people she'd let into her home. Every person sitting in this room was of the Sheikah clan, whom valiantly swore to defend the royal family from any harm. With Impa having called forth a meeting so urgently and with so little warning, something must've been wrong. An air of uneasiness filled each and every member of the clan.

"I have called you all here today on urgent grounds. Potential danger that could be catastrophic for Hyrule as we know it." She began, sorting through some scrolls upon a table and unrolling them onto the floor, for all to see. They depicted events of centuries past, written in a language native to the Sheikah. Illustrations also littered the scrolls. Common, reoccurring images included a young man clad in the hero's tunic, a wolf-like beast accompanying him, an impish creature, and a spiral of some sort that instilled paranoia from just a glance. "I'm sure you all remember the legend of the Hero of Twilight. As the seal between light and dark was shattered, it was with his efforts and the cursed ruler of the twilight that it was fixed once more, and the connections between the worlds was shattered forever."

"But the princess has reported to me of troubling dreams related to this legend." A grim expression spread across Impa's face, closing her eyes and crossing her arms as she stood before her people. "And as the royal family has such strong ties to the goddess Hylia, such reoccurring dreams are not to be taken lightly. They foretell of this bond being broken once more, as the Mirror of Twilight is reborn. The only method we have of preventing such a feat, if it be true, is by assembling the Spiritual Stones. Their power to break bonds is as powerful as their power to uphold them, and we'll need all the help we can get to prevent Hyrule from falling into darkness again. I am currently attempting to make contact with each of the races across Hyrule whom posses a Spiritual Stone, but many have called the princess's dreams a fairy tale and nothing more. Thus, they refuse to cooperate."

"Nusso. Come forth." Impa's eyes shot wide open, her glare centered directly on the young man in question. The slender boy silently stood, and walked to the center of the group without hesitation. He said not a word, and not even his footsteps made a single sound.

"Your mother was one of the strongest and powerful Sheikahs I've seen in my lifetime. Along with the work you've done to protect Hyrule so far and the heirlooms you possess, I believe you are more than up to the task. Of all whom I have tried to contact, the Zoras of the northwest have been the most defensive of the Spiritual Stone they possess. I fear they may respond with hostility if the question is brought up further, so I have one simple request of you. Obtain the Zora's Sapphire by any means possible, for Hyrule's sake. Understood?"

Nusso nodded solemnly, understanding what was being requested of him. Hopefully he wouldn't need to resort to such tactics, but if Impa was concerned enough about the Zoras lashing out, chances were he would.

Although, he wouldn't mind having some seafood either way.

As Nusso left the room, a small argument would start up. While all of the Sheikah felt that the princess's warning was one to take seriously, many felt that there were different ways to address it.
Some thought they should double down on investigation, to find any dark shadows that threatened the land. Moving so aggressively on their allies was a BAD IDEA, they held.
Others felt that their technology held the answers, and that they should focus there for the next step.

Of course, Nusso just had his mission. Truth be told, finding the Zora Sapphire would be easy, even doing so undetected.

The problem was that the Zora Sapphire was on display in a small open shrine in the very middle of the Hylia Reservoir.
The source of three fourths of the freshwater in Hyrule... and home to Jabu-Jabu, the extremely aggressive and ravenous water spirit.

Any Guards were more posted there to keep poor fools from falling into the water and being devoured by Jabu, not protect the Stone.

Still, when Nusso arrived at Zora's Domain, all shining pillars and pathways, the beautiful curved arches even displayed the walls of the Reservoir. Basically there were two options for approach. High in the sky, with a far dive down... or close the the water, fast and quiet.
He had two masks capable of flight, but which to use...

(Want a chance to overhear some guards talking?)

(Sure, I'll try and set it up.)

Upon reaching the domain, Nusso was already prepared. As he stepped foot into the corridors, he immediately donned the Fairy Mask, one of his three heirlooms. The masks held strange, otherworldly powers that merged and molded the wearer's state drastically. With this mask, the small fry of a Sheikah became a fairy, a small glow donning a translucent pair of wings. The white glow surrounding the disguised fairy's physical appearance in this form was dull, yet bright enough to conceal him. And for that, he'd be forever thankful. Or she, in this case.

The white fairy hovered low to the ground, fluttering to and fro around the corridor, trying to imitate the air headed flight patterns of wild fairies. The various pottery and Zora relics that decorated the halls served as ample cover for her to move down the hall without making her presence overwhelmingly known. The form Nusso was taking was one his best options for stealth, but carried the risk of being preyed on. Hopefully Jabu-Jabu wouldn't go out of her way just to snack on a crumb of a fairy like her.

She entered a pot on display through the entrance on the top, and rested her wings for a moment. Nusso had just slipped into the pot near a couple of guards, and while she wasn't here to exactly get intel, Listening in to what they may say while she took a breather would be beneficial at best, and indifferent at worst.

"I really hate Reservoir duty..." One of the Guards mutters angrily at the bottom of the stair to the top of the massive dam. "Nobody comes here anyway, and nobody is stupid enough to actually go near the Resevoir these days."

"Don't jinx it," the other warns tapping their spear on the ground lightly. "Just ten years ago a minnow got up there on a dare... went for a swim and didn't come back. They keep guards near the upper entrance now too, just in case anyone makes it past us."

"Nayru, the actually have guards near the water?!" The first guard looks shocked and horrified. "and I thought the Acrolytes had it bad feeding her!"
and the other guard turns to meet their eyes.

The perfect time to zip by!

"Someone has to be there to warn us if Lord Jabu-Jabu goes berserk. That's the real bad Guard Duty. So be thankful you're down here, where it's safe and boring."

Listening closely to footsteps and breathing patterns, Nossu eventually determines when the right time to move is, flying out of the pot and past the guards as they are turned towards each other. While that conversation may have intimidated others, Nossu was confident in her abilities. Although the thought that Jabu might be interested in eating her after all... No, no sense in worrying about what ifs. She'd just have to be faster. Stealth and speed were he specialties, after all.

Atop the dam, in broad daylight, the pseudo-fairy immediately flew behind the top of the dam's wall, out of sight from any guards. She tried her best to get a peak without blowing her cover, trying to locate where exactly the Zora's Sapphire was being kept.

"-been getting worse, hasn't she... hope the Sapphire..."

The guards conversation fades away as Nossu makes her way up the staircase... she barely managed to avoid the guards near the top, who were much more alert and very wary. The Zora stayed away from the large lake though...

The Sapphire glinted in the very center of the lake, in the large stone shrine which was more like four pillars underneath a rooftop, with the steps all around it leading into the water. It was a ways away from the cliff/walkway of the dam... but there were no guards looking directly at it. They were more focused on the surroundings... or the water.

Seeing no eyes on the prize, Nossu soared into the air upon their tiny wings once they were behind the guards and within the boundaries of the Reservoir. The view from above Hylia Reservoir was honestly breathtaking... but Nossu was not here on vacation. She had much more important things to do. Once above the center of the lake, the pseudo-fairy descended down towards the display where Zora's Sapphire rested. She fluttered to the pedestal where it sat, and with her tiny fairy arms, started tugging on gemstone.

It was... a lot lighter than she thought, if she was able to pick it up in this form. Nossu started fiddling with the Zora's Sapphire, trying to get a better grasp on it and internally debating if one of her other forms were more suitable for the job of carrying away her target.

There's a soft dribbling sound from the water behind Nossu, and if she'd look up she'd see a rather surprised Zora looking down at her. This was not an ordinary Zora, her Red scales and white underbelly (and breasts) marking her as a Noble Zora, one rather close to royalty at that. She was also enormous, and that wasn't just because Nossu was currently tiny. Already most Zora were already a head and shoulders above an average Hylian... This particular Zora seemed even bigger than they were, and would have been over Eight feet tall, towering over Hylians and Sheikah.

And she was not a slender thing. Her arms were well muscled, and while her shoulders were not overly broad, she was definitely not slender by any means. She had a sizable bust, easily d cups, that was Rare for a zora, who were generally streamlined. But her belly was quite well muscled, as were her legs...
and what legs they were! Pillars of muscled scales and flesh, her hips were thick and strong giving her a powerful figure.

Combined with two dolphin like tails, one at over her but and one trailing from her skull, her fins completed the picture of a very sexy shark. Large red flippers on her arms, legs and hips would give the Zora speed, power and control in the water... and there were glints of metal along her arm fins. Fin Blades.

This was not a mere royal Zora... but a warrior Zora as well. Thankfully, she doesn't seem armed besides her fin blades...

She stared at the tiny fairy manhandling the Zora's Sapphire... then gave her a toothy smile, cocking her head to one side. She didn't have a large Head crest like Male-royal Zora, but a slight red blunted nose that came down between her eyes, and her face was framed by triangular fins.

"Uh, sorry cutie, but I don't think that belongs to you." She says in a whisper, and her webbed hands deftly snagged the partially floating jewel out of Nusso's tiny arms. "You should probably look for rupees or shiny things in safer places, take it from me."

Nossu internally cursed to herself. Of course somebody was ballsy enough to swim in these waters during her mission. And that somebody looked to be no joking matter! If she had to guess, she'd say Jabu didn't even bother with food that put up as much of a fight as she could. The pseudo-fairy grabbed for the gemstone once more as it was so easily pulled out of her grasp. Even if she obtained a grip upon it, it couldn't even compare to that of the Zora before her.

"No dice." She thought to herself. She wasn't getting anywhere like this. Moving her hands to her face and making a pulling motion, the magic of the mask she wore was cancelled by the motion, and in the blink of an eye, there was no longer a fairy standing before the Zora. Instead, a similarly small Sheikah.

The small fry stood at roughly 4'8", just barely over half of the Zora towering before him. The Sheikah was slim through and through, giving not a lot of bulk to the already short stealthmaster. That's not to say he didn't have at least some muscle to show for. His arms and especially his legs were very well toned, the tights and skin-tight fabric he was wearing accentuating these features further. Slippers that fit his feet like a glove wrapped around them, his legs to thigh area covered by tights made of a similar material. The tights almost seemed to extend to his upper body as well, as if it was a large suit. It would cut off at his neck at the tip of his wrists, although his hands were covered by minimalist yet effective gauntlets of some sort. Shoulder pads, a chest plate, and knee pads adorned his body as well, metallic in nature but dulled to prevent light refraction. A long, long cloak was wrapped around his face and the back of his head, playing the part of a cloth mask, scarf, and hood for the Sheikah. It was hard to see his hair properly beneath the cloak, but a few strands of red hair adorned his forehead. Belong that were his eyes, whose pupils were a similar red to his hair. His skin was pale from a lack of direct sunlight, and every article of clothing on his body was a shade of black, blue, or purple to blend in with the darkness. An insignia following the same pallet was plastered onto each piece of armor on his body; that of the Sheikah clan.

"I don't think you understand." He spoke sternly, although his youth was evident in his voice. "Your people have refused to give the Zora's Sapphire to us. Without it, Hyrule is in grave danger. Acts of aggression towards the Sheikah clan have forced us to take matters into our own hands." Nossu explained bluntly, Impa's own disposition having rubbed off on him over the years. "I don't want any trouble. Just give me the Zora's Sapphire, and nobody has to get hurt."

"Woah." The big Zora actually took a step back as she the tiny Fairy transformed into a young Sheikah man! "Nice trick..." she took in the newly revealed boy and his body. "Not bad either, but now isn't really a good time for introductions..."

Around the Zora's chest, like a bandolier, was a slim waterproof belt, with a line of pockets on it... it was probably an adventurers inventory. It was an odd thing for a royal Zora to wear-

"and I don't really know what my people have done with this thing recently... and I don't really care." She gives the boy a big grin. "Iiiiit's mine now. And as much as I'd love to stay and chat-"

"What the- someone's on the shrine!"
"Seriously?! Hey you! You're trespassing!"

"I gotta splash!" The Zora finishes, tucking the Sapphire into a pouch. She's not royalty, she's a THIEF! "See ya!"

She dives into the water with a splash, and within seconds The Zora is rocketing toward the Dam wall!

The outcries from around the reservoir cause Nossu to tense, fearing he'd attracted a lot more unwanted attention. It doesn't take long for the Sheikah to realize who was actually at large here. He immediately tries to pounce the Zora thief, despite how strong she looked. However, he found himself landing on a puddle as the Zora was already tearing across the water.

"Get back here, you thief!" He yelled, a nasty scowl appearing on his face. He pocketed the Fairy Mask he held and pulled out a different one, mimicking the face of a Rito. In a flash, he took on a new body once more. Using the platform she stood on, Nossu took a running start before leaping and taking to the skies.

As fast as the Zora swam, a shadow started catching up with her from above. A bird with thick and fluffy grey plumage soared through the air, following the Zora's movements. Avian eyes narrowed down on her from above, the same piercing red as the Sheikah had.

"They've taken the stone!"

Arrows start to whiff past Nossu's body as he flies after the Zora, the guards having drawn their silver bows and taken aim at both of them. But at this distance, they have little chance at hitting such speedy targets...

and though Nossu moves quickly, it's nigh impossible to keep track of a zora once they really get going in the water. Thankfully, she doesn't seem to have simply dove out of sight...

then a loud rumble comes from the rear of the reservoir. If he looked behind him, Nusso would see a large shadow moving in the water... something many time his size, quickly catching up to the both of them.

Oh... that's why the Zora didn't dive.

Jabu-Jabu.

The water begins to bulge up behind the both of them, but all that can be seen is a pair of enoumous glowing blue lights... Eyes....

The zora pours on the speed and launches herself over the edge of the Dam like a bullet from the water! It's an act of near madness... the river below is almost 100 feet down, and nowhere near as large as reservoir. if she misses, she's dead. But it doesn't seem like she's going to miss...

and right now, this is the only time and place a rito can out manuver a zora... in the air! If she's going to catch the thief, she has to do it now!

Arrows fly past the disguised Rito, none hitting her but distracting her from the chase nonetheless. The thief is starting to slip away further and further, and Nusso will have no hope of finding the Spiritual Stone if it's taken down one of Hyrule's many long-winded rivers. And as the water starts to rumble, she realizes she's not the only one being chased anymore. The water separating behind her only adds pressure, Nusso starting to fly a bit higher to try and keep some distance from the deity, until...

This was it. She had one shot. The Zora's slick and wet body would mean using her talons to grab her was not a guarantee. Her only other option?

Nusso started diving straight down after the Zora, as she was approaching the apex of her jump over the dam. Closer, closer, almost there. She opened her beak as wide as she could, then...

GULP.

She'd swooped down and forced the Zora into her gullet with the assistance of gravity, taking a sharp turn before she could hit the water and now gliding through the air. With a couple more swallows, she managed the rest of the Zora a lot easier. Even gliding was a bit difficult with a full belly though, so after a mile or so, perched on a rock on the riverside and rubbed her belly.

Never eaten a Noble Zora before. They were salty and sweet, Nusso though to herself.

"GAH!"

The Incredibly fast gulping dive of the now Rito caught the zora completely off guard, so she didn't have a chance to use the sharp fin blades before they're inside the bladeproof insides of a vore.

"No nono! NO!" she wriggles just a bit and reaches fruitlessly out of the rito's beak as the sharp upturn of the dive sends her down into the belly, her fingers scrabbling at the tongue as she slips down into the wet, warm stomach.

"Buzzy! I swear to all the goddesses you better spit me out right now!" the zora demands, her kicks and punches VERY hard and visible on the massive bulge she makes. Ungh! unless the Rito form is very, very big, it's unlikely she's swallowed anything this large before... and almost all of it is muscle!

(Wanna have the zora still have the Sapphire, or should she have dropped it in the dive?)

(Hm. I'd say the former, mostly because I wanna give Nusso a chance to be a bit...sadistic.)

The punches and kicks, while rough on his insides, was manageable. In his Rito form, Nusso was only a couple inches taller than his normal state, so this Zora was definitely her biggest catch yet. A couple small burps were forced up from her prey's struggling, and Nossu had to take a breather and rub her belly to fight off indigestion.

"I'm not letting you out until you give me the Zora's Sapphire." She had that same strict tone as before, although the airy voice she currently had made it harder to take her seriously. "...I suppose it doesn't matter. Even if you don't cooperate, I can just collect the sapphire after I digest you." Her tone was now heavy with spite and sadism. She had no moral quarrels digesting the Zora, after all. She wasn't her first prey, and definitely wouldn't be her last.

"So? The Zora's Sapphire for your life. A fair trade." Nossu continued to rub her belly, getting comfortable as if she planned to be waiting here for a looong time...

The Zora actually growls at her from inside the feathery belly.

"You... sneaky little freak! I always thought the royal family was too good to be true, but you're really full of it! So much for Hyrule being real united!"

Of course, the Irony of a thief talking about the morals of an assassin would not be lost on Nossu.

"Fine... you want it, spit me out. Stupid thing wasn't really worth this anyway."

Nossu's stern juxtaposition was briefly broken, a sly smile spreading across her face at the irony of her scolding. She abstained from commenting and simply started spitting her up. Once the Zora's arms at least were free from the restraints of her throat, she stopped and held her feathered hand out expectantly.

"The Sapphire." She tried to say with her beak full. After all that, Nossu wouldn't let herself get duped that easily. She wasn't sure she could take any more roughhousing in her belly anyways...

(oooo, there's gonna be consequences for this, and not just because you've pissed off my character!)

"..." the zora hesitated for just a moment as her fin-blades were free of the Rito's tough throat. Still... she couldn't get enough leverage to fight it. She was well and truly caught. "ffffff-fine. Here."

The slimy fish person wriggles easily in Nossu's throat, and produces the Sapphire. She holds it out from the beak as far as her hand will allow, her webbed fingers tight about it.

"I'll let it go when you grab my other hand and start pulling me out. Use your other wing to hold the damn thing if you don't trust me. I know how this works, and I don't want you swallowing me back down once I let go." the zora growls. she's nowhere near frightened of the sadistic Sheikah... she's pissed but holding it in.

(she's going to clock him in the face first chance she gets, isn't she?)

"Clever." Nossu thought. The Zora had enough wit about her to get by, that much was clear. Of course, she hadn't planned to swallow her back down either. Cruel as she may be, she was no backstabber (for better or for worse). As she proposed, the Rito wrapped one hand around the gem and the other intertwined with the Zora's free hand. In tangent with her throat muscles and pulls, Nossu spit up the fish woman with relative ease.

And of course, the whole time, she still had a firm grip on both the Zora's hand and the Sapphire. Just her feet were still in her mouth, and Nossu was ready to gulp her up again if she were to try and double-cross her. Both parties were incredibly untrusting of each other, and for good reason.

The zora stayed very still as Nossu pulled her out, then when she was mostly free except for her feet... she released the Sapphire into Nossu's hand.

Then she jerked one of her feet all the way out of her beak and slammed her webbed foot into the side of her/his head, the force of the impact rattling her beak and launching the Zora out of her grip to flip and land crouched in the water.

She glared angrily up at the Rito perched on the rock above her, her sharp teeth bared in a grimace.

Fortunately, she didn't immediately spring back up at him... and he recovered quick enough from the fast blow.

"I don't know HOW you turned into a Rito, but you're not going to get the drop on me like that again." She says at last and straightens up, gesturing at the Sapphire in his hands. "You took what's mine, buzzy, and Amanna the Red isn't gonna forget you."

With that she dives back into the river and vanishes downstream. It's unlikely unless Nossu went full speed right now that he'd catch her... and fighting a Zora in the water is far from wise.
