Re: Tobuka Islands OOC (PATHFINDER, CLOSED)
I have to admit. As I put time into making a post I find myself at a bit of a loss. If Lang ever had a bow it was lost in the Mythweavers wipe. Which with a desire to not dive off the side of the ship puts her in a really bad spot against enemies inclined to shoot crossbows from the water. Legitimately not sure what kind of options I have left on the metaphorical table.
In the event I have vanished it means I no longer have internet access.

Very understandable I should probably have asked all the questions I had in my post here in the OOC page to clarify things and cause less clutter before I posted in IC, but I just wanted to get the posts flowing. If we could do the 'all player character's acts occur simultaneously' style, Lang could use lay on hands on Tai at least while waiting on the attackers to board.

Oh jeez. Time flies when ill it seems. Only felt like a few days, not over a week. I'll put a post down as soon as possible.

So amusingly, since Lili'Fey didn't really communicate her plan in any way, the desperate mer likely would resist Lili'Fey. What's better is that she has the Landing Slide and Triumphant Predator traits, so she could just gape on up, accept the incominc fey-fox, and get a +1 to attack and damage if she chose to deal digestion damage to the rogue, though it likely wouldn't stack with the bardic performance.

Fish float when they die, right? >.< So if Tai is KO'd, Lili would just be able to wriggle free easily. And yeah, landing slide is a great trait even, which is even better.

Re: Tobuka Islands OOC (PATHFINDER, CLOSED)
Yeah, if that happens Lili might be in a bit of a tight spot! So what do you think? Should we metagame a bit for Tai to not take the sudden, unanounced dive as aggressive and react as she normally would, or just let it play out naturally, even if it might cost us?

Re: Tobuka Islands OOC (PATHFINDER, CLOSED)
Well.. Why would Tai take it as aggressive if shes busy focusing on others? I clearly missed anyway. So unless she has attention everywhere, she'd just see Lilifey plop into the water nearby. You'd still have to roll to hit, even if you do get the landing slide bonus. So you could still miss. I wouldn't mind providing you a +1 bonus, that said.
if you're not sure, maybe roll a die to see which way to go?

Re: Tobuka Islands OOC (PATHFINDER, CLOSED)
A perception roll would probably be in order. A bad one Tai will assume it's aggressive, while with a good one she'll realize it's her friend coming to help, in her own werid way.

Tai got a 10 on her perception: https://orokos.com/roll/740398 which would just beat a easy DC check, but not nearly a medium difficulty one.

Re: Tobuka Islands OOC (PATHFINDER, CLOSED)
With both Lili and the far more familiar Abby hopping overboard simultaneously, I'd say the DC should be well within the easy category of DCs, so Tai would not attempt to catch Lili, instead just shifting a little to the side to let them splash down beside her.
