Intelligence and Knowledge Absorption through Vore

Postby lupinus911 » Sun Nov 15, 2020 2:38 am

Hey all,

I'm looking for works and stories that feature the predator gaining increased intelligence or knowledge/skills from their prey, after they are absorbed and digested. Method of vore doesn't really matter, so long as the predator gains either of these two aspects.

The examples of such works I can think of, off the top of my head, are:

The ongoing "A Male Predator" series by Green6rundy (https://aryion.com/g4/view/637037)
"Diane Shepard And Her Students" by Tokaj (https://aryion.com/g4/view/638654)
The ongoing "Better than Nothing" series by Thibs (https://aryion.com/g4/view/570899)
The ongoing "Cockvore Royale" series by Thibs (https://aryion.com/g4/view/569114)

If you got any that you know of, please share! :D

I would say that the Devourment mod in Skyrim works well for this concept. Basically upon digesting the prey, the predator will gain an increase in a random skill that the prey had a higher value in.

Very interesting concept, it sounds like John Carpenter's "The Thing"

I agree with PhantomWolf that this is an interesting concept. Because this is not my fetish I do not have any works to point to. It made me think about how writing an intelligent character is difficult and most authors dumb down the world to make a character seem smart. (im looking at u anime) Many authors simply state that their character is smart rather than taking the effort to show it. While it would be possible to make a dumb character get smarter from eating, digesting and absorbing someone and for their increase in intelligence to be noticeable without stating it it would not be sustainable in a long series without diminishing returns. In my opinion a much easier idea would be for the pred to gain skills, knowledge or even memories from their victim. Maybe a pred could eat someone so they could get their phone password and banking details.
Sorry for the ramble.
Whatever it is, I didn't do it.

There is another series that I think may catch your attention. It's the Survival of the fittest series by Nobodyman. It's basically a free for all in a dome where girls with superpowers given to them fight each other and when they eat another girl they gain their superpower.
Here's the link: https://aryion.com/g4/view/360136

Got a vague idea for (OC's for) a story like this- think John Carpenter's "The Thing" except trade body horror for vore and the Thing in question actually becomes more "human" the more people it eats and minds it absorbs- but I confess I'm not sure if/when I'll ever actually find the time to start committing it to text. Might try though, just no promises yet.

One of my favourite tropes.

My Lake of Fire series does that: https://aryion.com/g4/view/582259

Space marines from Warhammer 40k are able to gain knowledge by eating the flesh of living beings.

In some versions (like in the Underworld series) vampires gain the knowledge of their prey when drinking their blood.

And then you have Buu from the Dragonball franchise who can assimilate the knowledge, powers and sometimes personality of the people they eat and/or absorb.

I love this sort of thing!

Here's a great story Narrows just did for Halloween: https://aryion.com/g4/view/636601

Shameless self promotion: I've also made various stories and 3D renders myself of Cell from Dragon Ball Z who does this. For example, here's a series where he is on the hunt for the knowledge/skills of DC heroines: https://aryion.com/g4/view/606259

A very great and rather rare topic. I have at least 2 OC figures who can do something like that, so settle in or absorb the entire existence of Prey and thus also knowledge and skills. But mostly I like to absorb the skills and energy of the Prey more, because of knowledge and intelligence Soul Vore would also be a possibility.

The comparison with "The Thing" is good, but a bit inappropriate because it was less vore and more copied and taken over by the body and cells and not devouring whole and then absorbing and of course sometimes quite hard with a lot of good body horror, but unfortunately hardly any softvore. As a horror fan I have to think of the old classic "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" where there was a similar scenario with taking over the body and its knowledge, but no real vore was shown. But I guess it was maybe Energie Vore, So that the pods have absorbed and copied the energy and perhaps souls of people.

There's the Abzorbaloff from Dr Who. When it absorbs people, they gain all their knowledge, experiences and memories, as well as that persons face perturbing from their body in a random place. Likewise, the prey can get an insight to some of the creatures thoughts and knowledge too, so it's a bit like a hive mind in that sense.

The game [PROTOTYPE] has your back, that's seriously one of the main mechanics.

I really want some more abzorbaloff style vore. It's criminally under done

I love this concept! In Tales of Vesperia, the main character also has a devour ability where she gains abilities of demons that she eats.

Oddly enough this is also in warhammer 40k. All of the Primarchs were built to gain the knowledge of anything this ate. When the Primarchs were lost, this effect was accidentally uses by some of them on fellow humans. Its partially why Conrad, primarch of the Nightlords, gained such a screwed up sense of justice because he ate hangers in a hive city.
