Aversion to Male Preds

Postby PhantomWolf » Sun Oct 18, 2020 4:26 pm

During my period here on Eka's, I've encountered many people who say they enjoy my stories, but don't care for male preds. And there are even some users that don't tolerate Male Preds AT ALL! If this is true for you please, tell me why. What is about Male preds that you find so distasteful? Why don't you care for Male Preds? Please enlighten me.

Some people like men.
Some people like women.
Some people like both.
Some people are really into non-binary characters.

That's all there is too it, really! There's nothing unique to vore here.

I would say that, because the community is mostly made up of straight males, female preds are what people mainly like. Thus, male preds are often seen as homosexual, in a sense that vore is practically put on the same level as copulation. Still, I could be wrong.

Doesn't really excuse the fact that some select members feel the need to get their .02 in on "how much they hate male preds", though. People are entitled to having opinions, but that doesn't mean they need to go and be a jerk about it.

Just to be clear they most certainly are not entitled to being a jerk about it here. Please report those if you see anything like that.

For the same reasons the gays don't like girls and the lesbians don't like dudes. As a creator, you will always have to contend with a subset of commenters who constantly spout this sort of useless drivel.

"WHAT KIND OF SICK TWISTED PEOPLE KEEP MAKING [fetish that offends them]"

"I AM SICK AND TIRED OF SEEING [fetish adjacent to their interests but they don't like]"

"MAN I WISH [artist] WOULD STOP MAKING [thing they don't like]"

"YOU SHOULD MAKE [thing you're evidently not making, but they want you to]"

"OH WOW SO GOOD I HOPE/BET/THEY BETTER [tries to steer events towards their own fantasy despite clear mismatch with an entire portfolio]

Don't get me wrong, if a creator seems to skirt just adjacent to something it can be a fair question (not a demand), or if you want to pay them to make your thing you can ask if they're open to creating what you want in private, but people create what they themselves enjoy making for the same reason you enjoy what you enjoy, and they're not forced to make your stuff in the same way you're not forced to see theirs.

They're a staple alongside the 'omg I wish it were me' people who, to be fair, probably belong here. Just be thankful the artists here get less of the caption creeps.

My advice is to make it clear what is and is not your thing, and also tag your stuff properly. If you haven't been tagging on such a prevalent divider leading to all these people stumbling in, that's on you and you should. If have an M pred tag and they go out of their way to still read it and then go on to whine about M pred in the comments, that's just them being either too stupid, or too inconsiderate to do otherwise. Neither option is worth entertaining, but the former you can try to teach to be better if you have that in you.

Well I cant speak for others but I like female preds mostly. That being said I also like M/F specifically. Male on male is really the only one I dont like but there are certainly people out there who do so I just simply blacklist M/M and for the most part problem solved. when it comes to M/F for me there has to be some indication of female prey such as an internal view or far more preferably a detailed bulge. Yes some people can be jerks about what they like but its the internet so I mean ya gotta just not let it get to ya. I am actually thinking of commissioning a 3 page comic series with two endings one of which will be M/F and the other F/M although I need to find an artist XD

I think it's because women have more attractive "vore" features, meaning they have more emphasis on the lips, (sexier more welcoming lips), a smooth attractive neck, soft stomach... really, their whole body is more inviting than a males (when it comes vore.) Big stomachs look better on a woman, typically people aren't attracted to big belly men (I know there are exceptions).
I prefer female preds, however I can still appreciate a male pred that has some monstrous features and roughness to him. (The Rancor from Star Wars is my perfect example of a male pred) The best way I can put it; it's like the "Damsel in Destress" gimmick where theres a pretty girl being harassed by a monster, or like how in hentai, the girls are always animated to be as sexy as possible, while the guys are mostly just big stinky "ugly bastards"

What i'm saying is, male preds work better when they are big, scary, nasty, ugly, and brutish. Like SpaceJam Monstars.. and most people tend to draw them as cute anime boys, or big soft cuddle bunnies. It just doesn't translate well imo.

ya know i gotta agree with that. im a straight guy so of course i like female preds. but i do appreciate a big roaring dragon or a scary lizardman. the more monstrous the male pred the better. inversely the more human a male pred looks the more turned off i get.

I'm an observer & very occasionally prey so I'd like to see or sometimes be in a pred lady's belly, whether in art or story form. I'll admit... i did commission vore of Murdoc & 2D a long time ago, it was a joke though. My sense of humor is crap ik

Apparently I am some kind of a chauvinist in the sense that seeing or reading a woman getting treated badly in fantasy, e.g. ryona, rape or vore, turns my stomach. That is why I steer clear of male preds.

It's all about prefs and trying to argue that once pref is the thing that "Makes the most sense" feels a lill silly.
I'm only into male preds. And I Could make up why my prefs are more "logical" then liking fem preds. But that would be rather stupid.

My argument is that i'm a heterosexual female, and the lack of male preds is because there is a clitch in the Matrix...
Or just more heterosexual males on this site.

I don't like girls. So.....I only like m/m vore.

But that makes me a minority in the community because like 75% of the community focuses on female preds, 20% is M/F, and 5% is M/M.
(This is not an accurate thought but this is the way it feels *shrug*)

It's mostly just that 60% or so of people are heterosexual and porn is a thing more sought out by males than females more often than not, so you end up with a heavy bias toward the preferences of hetereosexual males in percentages of content. There is nothing wrong with this, this is fine. What is NOT fine is when people act like other people's preferences are wrong, or somehow lesser than their own, or present their opinions as empirical fact as seen up above. I would imagine the vast majority of people not liking OP's male-centric content would simply be because they are unattracted to the male form in general.

Honestly, it's probably lowkey homophobia. Any guy in much of modern (american) society has to deal with homophobia to a degree. Even straight guys get called gay all the time over dumb shit. For some people that homophobia manifests in being sickened by the sight of guys sexualized in any way, even if they are fucking/eating girls.

Wait, what?

"You don't like guys sexually? What a homophobe!"

People like the gender they like in the position they like.

Really I thought it's more like 80% female stuff, 15% M/M and 5% M/F. And I realy love M/F and that's funny because I'm a female Pred :D

So? I don't see the problem here. We are in the Internet, anonym and on a porn site. Even If people call you gay here it dosen't matter just Report him If he annoy you. Some pepole think I'm lesbian because I do F/F stuff. But am I a lesbian? No.

Some folks always seem to have to voice their displeasure for something they don't personally care for loudly/publicly. I've encountered it a lot over the years for both male preds and M/F vore (which used to arguably be the most disliked type for a long time).

In all honestly, it only motivates me all the more to keep doing and spreading the content I love---yes, with pretty anime-style guy preds and all. I do find it rude when people leave comments like that, as I've never had my stuff untagged and they should know what to expect. You'll probably never find a solid answer as to exactly 'why' people do it, and there's any number of reasons it could/would be disliked by a large portion of the community but...

It's really not hard to live and let live, enjoy and let enjoy. And it reminds me the importance of getting that content out there for people who DO like it, rather than getting discouraged.

Things have changed for the better in recent years, though. It's more of a rarity when I get those comments now. But I have definitely seen them elsewhere, especially geared toward folks who do multiple different types all over the spectrum and the commenters try to push against the ones they don't personally like.

The key is just to keep doing the content you enjoy, regardless of what others think or what their preferences are. Though it can be hard sometimes, since those comments often stick out like a sore thumb or even get under your skin.
Passionate advocate of M/F vore.
