I've seen this a few times now, but I can't seem to find a full video and I find it hard to believe that the person just stopped recording right at that moment.

A decent video of a european gray heron making quick work of a live mouse. Watch in720p HD for best clarity, you can clearly see the wriggling throat bulge make its way down the bird's throat.

In this new footage from WIS, a heron pisses off a swan by devouring a duckling in front of him/her. Excellent camera work as always!

I'm pleased to be able to show you one of the first clips that really got me interested in bird vore many years ago. This is a bbc nature documentary featuring waterbirds, specifically pelicans. I think this series of clips is some of the best pelican feeding content ever captured on film. A gang of hungry pelicans raid the nesting grounds of some cape gannets, and devour chick after fat, wriggling chick alive in some of the most greedy and capable feedings you will ever see. Enjoy! :gulp:

ETA: sadly, the documentary doesn't focus on the feedings. I bet there is tons of amazing pelican feeding footage on the cutting room floor somewhere.

That's a beautiful clear version of this clip, thank you. I'd looked it up a few months ago and found only horrible low-res ones, so I'm very happy you posted this.

You're welcome! There are a number of programs and websites that offer the ability to download YT videos, also.

A non-english search for content often reveals very good footage, such as this Gray Heron devouring a live vole, acting nonchalant enough to scratch his chin while the rodent struggles uselessly in his beak.

Despite the title and misleading thumbnail, this is a heron eating a large frog, who puts up a fight early but gets pwned for his efforts, and then swallowed.

Yeah, I always hope they go for the swallow early, when the prey is still lively. :D

Here's one you will like.

Truly one of the most amazing feeding clips in the entire thread! Gulls are such capable and greedy feeders... a heron would have taken his time, lined up his prey carefully, maybe gotten it wet for an easier swallow - but the gull just scarfs it violently, gulping and resting to breathe in between swallows. Notice how his whole body changes shape as it slides into his gullet! Incredible!

Happy Easter everyone! :-D

This is great, thanks! Really aggressive, energetic feeding! Also, the young puffin may have regained consciousness in the gulls crop, it's difficult to see but I think the bulge kicked or moved a bit between 0:57 and 1:15. The audience seemed to react to it too!

I took a closer look and yes, it does appear to be moving around in there for sure.
