I like this thread! (though I wouldn't necessarily call it a turn-on )

So actual turn-ons then, rather than things I just like:

Sexual tension between pred and prey, without the actual sex - especially when it's being tangled up with the vore. Kisses that turn into nibbles and tasting. Embraces that lead to palpating the major muscles. Lipstick that draws attention to subtle fangs, or eye makeup that calls out the animal slit where it wouldn't otherwise be there. Hints and taunting with all the old cliches and puns (e.g. "You look so good I could just gobble you right up."). Including actual sex with vore makes one or the other anti-climactic for me, but sexual tension is a terrific foreplay. It can work if the pred is intentionally using it as a lure, or if it's something they want to avoid ("I'm attracted to you, but if I give in to that attraction, I know I'll just end up eating you!").

Vore is a turn-on when it's just a little beyond the realm of reality and hidden from normalcy - where the average person can turn the same corner 100 times with no problem, but when turning it the 101st time holding the witch's hand, a cottage appears at the end of the alley, and the prey knows they just lost their grasp on what reality actually is.

Vore can also be a turnon where it's commonplace and a constant threat, like a goat joining an exchange program that accidentally sends him to a swamp school full of hungry gators. I love it when there is a pred-prey couple in a relationship and the pred inserts constant veiled, winking threats about how tasty their partner would be... and there's the understanding that the pred is only just keeping their hunger at bay, and may slip some day.

I'm generally -not- such a big fan of same-size soft vore, but I can't deny that occasionally all of the wet, hot, stretchy confines of a satisfied pred's innards aren't an arousing thought.

Saliva and lubricating body-fluids in general are pretty exciting (not so much a bucket of saliva, but a well-wetted mouth, yes.)

The most arousing thing for me, though, is a pred who just obviously wants their prey, gets them, and is excited/satisfied by it.

I find most vore in general a turn on for me but as to the bits that are icing on a cake:

I've seen social justice warriors say things like "Consent is my fetish." Which is all well and good and helpful to society and smug as all get out.

But consent is my fetish. Part of this means that it's very rare for me not to be completely squicked by even semi-consensual scenes. But the flip side of this is that I'm incredibly turned on by people consenting to things they really should not be consenting to. And the more they're turned on by those things, the more turned on I am.
