Re: Are bunnies pred or prey?
I'm very much on team "Whatever the player/owner wants them to be". SpottedSqueak/Fomo recently did a fantastic breakdown of why the vore community shouldn't presume pred/prey roles based on the type of character someone else is using: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/41139987/ (particularly pertinent given their main character is a pred mouse).
That being said, in the majority of instances, I like rabbits as prey. After mice, they're probably my second favourite prey species (no coincidence that my fursona in the vore community is a prey rabbit).
All the same, though, occasionally a pred mouse/rabbit comes along who I can't help but adore. There's a rabbit character called Lily who I am incredibly fond of and is unquestionably fully in the pred role (and I'd personally have no inclination to ever view her in the prey role, although she's not my character so it's not my call to make)

This is a sentiment that has appeared a few times over the course of the thread, and I wholeheartedly agree! This poll is simply about personal preference, and I respect all personal preferences. I do not take the results of this poll as objective fact, simply as a gauge of popular opinion. Just vote on whichever role you usually like seeing bunnies in!

You'd think that would be obvious too. I thought it was clearly just posed in a light-hearted way. It's unnecessary to assume someone not taking a stance in their original post is trying to force the results on the community. Sometimes that does happen here, but I think it's safe to RELAX a SKOOCH.

To clarify, I wasn't offended by this topic or suggesting it was inherently wrong. But there are people who attempt to force their preferences on others. One of the things I linked to was a post from someone with a pred mouse character who often gets people initiating RP-like comments positioning him or that character as prey. My point was just on "Are bunnies pred or prey" being worded in a way that could be pushing preferences on other people. I don't think that's what OP intended, but I felt it was worth reiterating - as a community it's on all of us to ensure that everyone's preferences are respected. I guess I'm saying this more for people who might be responding to the topic than to the OP.

I base my Gurgling Gut Casino on predatory Bunny Waitresses - I have so much fun seeing the 'token prey' look as predators.

I am the OP. Can confirm. This poll is not to be taken seriously.

That's all fair. And yeah, there are definitely people that get pushy. The comments along the lines of "whatever the character owner says" are just piling up is all, and I'm over here like, "okay, but I'm interested in hearing folks' takes, not just that everyone has their own."

Thank you! I know I'm responding to my own post a bunch, but this is exactly the point I've been trying to make! Everyone's preferences are valid, I just want to know what they are!

Re: Are bunnies pred or prey?
I have no strong opinion one way or the other. I kinda like bunny boys more as pred than prey, but that's more because I have a preference towards male preds in general. (And the appeal of a normally-prey species being pred is strong, but the thirst for boy ass is stronger)

Re: Are bunnies pred or prey?
All depends on the situation and character...and what not. Though there is a peek of curiosity when a rabbit/bunny leans pred. I will note that if we add mythical rabbits (like jade/moon rabbits or the al-mi'raj), might make it even more so since most people leave the character at anthro/furry and call it a day.

Bunnies as smaller preds, without a doubt!

Two pages in and not a single Re:Zero Reference? Okay...
Anyway, to answer the thread question, I have two answers:
Realistic works = Prey since rabbits are herbivores I believe.
Just vore in general = Whatever you want.

Actual considering to write a bunny analyses now. There is so much we don't know about bunnies and bunny girls yet.

Rabbits can make for great predators. And, in my eyes, any species that works great as a predator also works great as a prey. So, both!

I only deal with anthros but in that instance, they are fine for both roles imo.

I love bunny girl preds, if anyone has a good source of such content feel free to share. I'm not around much these days.

One of my favourite preds of all time is a bunny girl called Lily:

Awesome art Trebortron3, I'm glad that more people are seeing bunns as the natural predator they are!
