When fighting giant naga and other creatures?
Would it be possible to take down a giant naga the same way they take down giants in "Attack on Titan" ?
Are there any notable battles in Felarya where humans have fought the giant girls and won?

Re: When fighting giant naga and other creatures?
No, simply because Felarya is a vore oriented world, that isn't super intensive on story. From what I can tell, therefore the climax of most settings is well Vore. something that's hard to achieve, if the prey won. In attack on titan, the story is more well story, the show is a show first, and a vore comic second. Although I think most of the vore is there for shock value. Not that it makes it any less appealing for me >_>. Regardless in short no, to my knowledge there are no battles in Felarya that the humans won, then again I don't follow Karbo very well, preferences and all that. Though I am familiar enough with his work, to say my previous statement. And assuming, that such a motorized propulsion system were to work, and be achieved in the real world. I imagine, many of the moves used in Attack on titan, could be performed on multiple monstrosities, although they are trained to fight against humanoid monsters. So if you add in something with a new niche, Ie: a tail or tentacles. Their training wouldn't provide them much good. Argh I'm getting carried away, In short. If you like story watch attack on titan, if not then keep following Karbo. Or do both, theres literally a billion different choices, and none of them are wrong. It's rather offensive to compare the two however, considering the vast difference.

The only way a human (or neko) would "win" against a giant naga, harpy, or other giantess in Felarya would be by drinking poison directly before being eaten, and hoping that it gives the giantess indigestion after they're dissolved.

First one, yes it is entirely possible to do that. The chunk of neck that they struck in AoT was the base of their spinal cord. Remove the spinal cord that way and first off you got serious blood loss, second off you got paralyzes, and finally, death. If not death, then death will soon follow.Bright wrote:Would it be possible to take down a giant naga the same way they take down giants in "Attack on Titan" ?

Second one, I'm not a big karbo fan since giantess isn't my thing, but I have read a few stories and noticed that most of it is kinda just single people or small groups who are often not prepared for some mundane reason(which I don't mind >;3) so I would say most likely no.

Re: When fighting giant naga and other creatures?
Reiko had a series of stories in which her character, Reiko, was surviving in Felarya, and she avoids and survives several encounters with a few, and in chapter... it's either 3 or 4, she makes a bet with one, and wins, making the naga her slave or something like that... I don't really like the fatality in the setting, but I remember it was pretty good writing. http://aryion.com/g4/view/149862

The big problem with asking "what if" is for creatures like that to even exist in the first place, you have to wave a lot of physics and biology. On top of that they usually are given additional supernatural abilities just for the heck of it; Felarya basically runs on magical laws, not physical laws, for instance. If you have a world where the laws of physics and biology don't mean anything at all, then it's pretty hard to say what would 'realistically' happen in it. Generally in any fetish-based setting, the fetish usually wins anyway, as that tends to be the point for the people writing it!

Saying that Felarya is a vehicle for vore porn is a bit myopic and offensive. The Felarya world has become a creative franchise of sorts, with hundreds of writers and artists allowed to populate the world with stories. A lot of fanfiction has become Felarya canon, and it's no secret that Karbo has accepted canonical contributions from others when it comes to many major points like characters, geography and fauna.
In truth, I think any answers to this that aren't from Karbo himself are speculative, or based on their own assumptions of the world. Better wait and see what Karbo says if he replies.

But it's true. The fact that fanfic can become canon doesn't change that.

This. No author wants his super original special snowflake characters being taken down, so the OC will always win.

There are plenty of stories out there with 'almost' or 'fail vore' where the prey wins XD I wouldn't make that assumption at all, it's kinda hurtful how it was worded actually.night22 wrote:Galis wrote:Generally in any fetish-based setting, the fetish usually wins anyway, as that tends to be the point for the people writing it!

Any based in Felarya? If I remember correctly, from the felarya wiki, the giant nagas have stomachs that are grenade proof. That alone show sthat the giant nagas are practically invincible.

A surprisingly large chunk of Karbos fans are not into vore, according to a few polls he's made on his dA page. A lot of writers use Felarya as sort of a fiction hobby-kit for them to insert a character into a world that's already highly developed and help them get a story out of it. I'm just saying that the point made earlier about how it's safe to assume a pred character has never been killed or bested in canon because it's unfavorable to a vore story arc is a pretty poorly founded conclusion to jump to.

Re: When fighting giant naga and other creatures?
Ironically, Felarya reminds me a lot of the Jund shard in Shards of Alara, an expansion for Magic: the Gathering. The only differences are that monsters in Jund are mostly super ugly... and that it's far, far deadlier. The most iconic flavor text for a Jund card reads: "On Jund, everything eventually ends up in something else's stomach." Even Dragons can be taken down by other creatures, though they are definitely the most dangerous predators...
The shard's mechanic is even CALLED 'Devour'.

I would simply like to add that I never used the word porn. That is all.

I wouldn't say invinsible. At any rate you have to keep in mind that felarya is a light hearted type of fantasy world with soft dark undertones. Having a woman's guts blown up from the inside out is diffenetally not a light hearted scenerio. And even then Your wording is very hurtful and you shouldn't be biased like that, or at least, not publicly display your hurtful opinion.night22 wrote:Aickavon12 wrote:There are plenty of stories out there with 'almost' or 'fail vore' where the prey wins XD I wouldn't make that assumption at all, it's kinda hurtful how it was worded actually.night22 wrote:This. the stomachs might be grenade proof but nobody said anything about the exterior being immune to shoulder fired anti-armor particle weapons.

I rather doubt its "just immune to grenade" and more "protection from things that can kill me"

I actually made commentary about the grenade-proof stomach in my sig.
As for those guys from "Attack on Titan", yeah, they're incredibly fast and they can penetrate the back of a titan's neck at the spinal cord. Aickavon12 is right, without even more mini-godmodding of preds in the Felarya universe, a naga caught unaware by 3d Maneuver Gear troops will get taken down, with no means to prevent being beheaded or simply cut to pieces.
I'm surprised the Isolon Fist doesn't have this. Or the Vishmitals. For the 'Fist: 3D Maneuver Gear = a good haste + strength spell.
Experiment: Will a grenade kill a giant naga by exploding in its belly?
Test #1: Inconclusive. Grenade exploded in naga''s mouth.
Test #2: Inconclusive. Grenade exploded in naga's throat.
Further tests delayed until another live specimen can be acquired.
